Why do I get disconnect errors during ip to ip games?

I get disconnect errors about 55% of the time i play one of my friends online...usually happens in 1st or 2nd quarter...i get the message that reads "there has been a disconnect error, would you like to complete this game vs the CPU"......55% error rate is way too high....can anyone help? by the way i have all the latest in pc upgrades...great video card, plenty of memory etc......HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the most annoying thing. I know it's not on purpose because I'm playing a friend. I completed 2 game a month ago and today had 5 disconnects. Was leading in the 5 games too. Wonder if it has anything to do with dynamic (wandering) IP addresses.

I do believe this is an open forum. If the topic line doesn't apply to your concerns, don't read it. The problem is a valid one and I'm sure other people suffer from the same problem and would like a resolution.
