2 reasons I love ESPN 2k5

Reason #1

They decided to release their game on the same day as NBA LIVE 2005.
-this probably drove EA crazy...... this is what I imagine happened at EASports when they found out:

EASports employee1: Those bastards at SEGA! They're releasing their crap ass video game on the same day. What do we do now?

EASports employee2: S#!T. We have to push our release up a week! Damn.....


Reason #2


ESPN made their game $20. What was EA to do? The games were supposed to come out the same day and ESPN had their game for $30 less. I love NBA Live and have played it since '95, but I really would have had to think about it. I have honestly never even considered trying any of the 2K games, but this had me very curious.

So thats why I love 2k5. For making EA give us the game sooner and cheaper. I so excited, I hope that this is the ultimate NBA Live. I have high hopes.

Boner, I know exactly where you're coming from. Your point is that it's great that ESPN even exists because we're getting Live earlier and cheaper as a result of it!

I think some people here might not be as receptive to your outstanding observation because of the ESPN guys who have infiltrated these boards in the past few weeks.

When I saw the title of this thread I kinda guessed it was going to be sarcastic. It sounded too corny to be an actual 2k5 asswhipe post. Also Gordon was a real jerk about it, it's obvious Boner didn't do this to make anyone mad, and it was more related to Live then ESPN. BTW, awesome name Boner.

you're right boner. espn lowering their price and pushing up their date has helped live fans very much. (though i'm a fan of both). because of espn, i can get 2 hoops games for 65 bucks instead of 110. thank you sega!!!
