I bet they'll have fewer and fewer legends...That seems to be the trend.
(You know..why didn't they get Barkley in the slam dunk thing? Then they could've had Barkley in the game...FINALLY!)
I've heard that there's no Jordan...A basketball without Jordan? (The OLD lives had "Roster Player") Can we at least get "Roster Player" or "Micheal Jordan"? Please? So that we can edit it? Have his voice pack hidden? (like Sir Charles secret voice pack.)

Wed Sep 22, 2004 10:41 am

Yea, this has been confirmed many times
But there is always a bunch of people asking the same question every now and then huh?

Operation Sports: Will there be 'Historical Teams', 'All-Time Teams', 'All-Decade Teams'?
NBA Live 2005 Team: Due to licensing limitations there are no Historical and All-Time teams, but we do have All-Decade Teams. There are All-Star teams from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. We have included all of the great players from the past such as Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Dr. J, Moses Malone, Spud Webb and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to name a few.

Already posted, but this is good news! Finally Jabbar gets in an NBA Live game. I guess EA has more $$$ to spend now that they didn't sign Jordan to the game...

I don't understand how this works. What does EA need to do (or have) to include players like Jordan or Barkley in the game? If they could, at the very least, make the legend teams editable and allow Marv and Fratello to say their last names, they could just leave it to users to create these players. I wonder why they don't do that.

I'm into the whole Legends idea...I would greatly appreciate it if anyone is skilled in the arts "department" to help out for faces and such for the Legends roster I will make for Live 2005...like for lesser known but still Top 50 Players:
e.g. Dave DeBusschere, Elvin Hayes, George Mikan, Nate Thurmond...etc...
Please PM me if you're interested...Thanks

I would really hate it if they started shrinking the LEgends rosteres. I love having Legends in the seasons and franchises I run.
I'm glad Kareem is in but I still want Sir Charles and MJ... Where'd Patrick Ewing go? He better be back this year.
Created players aplenty, this time, it looks like.

Consider this pure conjecture, but here's the impressions I've gotten from verious sources.
Kareem is in, replacing Olajuan?.
Spud is in, replacing Jordan.
Tom Chambers is in, don't know who he replaces, maybe the Admiral. Oddly he's on the 90's all-stars, when the 90's weren't too good to him, should be 80's. But, then, Doc should be on the 70's team.
Kareem resisted in the past because he has a sort of love/hate relationship with the league. He also likes to be thought of as more than just a player.
Jerry West want's to known as an owner not a player at this point in his career, I'm guessing thats also why Jordan is out.
Sir Charles don't like video games, he also seems to think being involved with NBA licensed products underminds his position as a brodcaster/reporter.

Too bad about the legends rosters shrinking.. good thing for patchers!

I'm glad some of the big names are still there, like Larry Bird and Magic. I'd love to see Olajuwon in there since he was so realistic in 2004, but hopefully someone could create a realistic version of him. Hopefully EA could make all time greatest teams like the 80's Lakers and the 90's Bulls.

WOW!
No D.Robinson, No P.Ewing, No H.Olajowan, No Stockton, No West, No MJ, No Barkley, No Kemp. Only one PG for the 90's ?
What's wrong with EA ? How can it be a lisence problem when 2k series have a lot more legends ?
Who will disappear next year ?...
