Walking in 2K14?

Hey, I'm not sure if it's even possible, but when you inbound the ball, is it possible to simply walk with the player you're controlling?
I find it kinda annoying when I bring the ball up half court and I'm running as if someone is chasing me with a chainsaw

Most players don't jog their way across the field, they walk and survey the area, before the coach decides on a play, or they decide to do something on their own

You need to have a controller (I recommend 360) as keys on a keyboard, when pressed, are 100% all in unlike on analog sticks in which you can control on how far you push it

I use a gamepad with dual analog sticks, yet the result is almost the same, except instead of jogging, they do some weird run when it's not as fast as running, but not as slow as walking normally, and it looks even more weird

It should just be a matter of slight movements on the sticks. It's been a while since I've played NBA 2K14 last gen, so I can't comment on the quality of the walking animations, but that's definitely how it's done.

You can absolutely walk on 2K14, its like Andrew said: Just a slight forward push on the joystick.

I guess it's just the controller I'm using, but I'll double check in practice mode, and try to keep the joystick movement as small as possible

Definitely sounds like a controller issue. I fired up NBA 2K14 to test out my new controller and the walking animations on slight movements of the stick are just fine.

What controller are you using? I just bought the first one that I saw that had dual analog sticks and was PC compatible

I just bought a new controller, a Logitech F710.

man I remember how the walking animations amazed me at NBA 2K9. after years of playing nba live on pc, it seemed like a revolution.

and yep, you have to slightly move the left analog stick to walk.
