If you're browsing the Forum then you're probably already aware of the situation having seen the
front page bulletin, but just for everyone's reference:
We’re currently experiencing a few issues with accessibility around the NLSC. As explained in posts on our
Facebook page and
Twitter, these issues are the result of installing our SSL certificate. This is something we’ve needed to do for a while to keep up with web standards, and was essential to implement as soon as possible since as of July 2018, Google Chrome will start flagging sites that don’t use SSL as being unsafe.
While the NLSC is basically up and running, we’re still sorting out issues with redirects and subdomains. This means that old links aren’t properly redirecting to HTTPS yet (resulting in some missing images and the like), and
forums.nba-live.com currently isn’t operational, meaning it can’t be used to access the Forum or Downloads section.
For the moment, you can use these links to access the Forum and Downloads section:
Browsing the main site, as well as the
Wiki, should generally work as normal. As noted, old HTTP links may result in a few missing images until we get everything sorted out.
Thank you for your patience as we troubleshoot these issues. Hopefully everything will be working as normal very soon. Note that the aforementioned links will still work after we get everything back up and running as intended, but the plan is to use the subdomain as before. If you have any questions or encounter any other errors, please let me know.
Furthermore, I've updated the navigation links on the main page, as well as the links at the top of the Forum. Once everything's sorted out, I'll change them back and it will be business as normal.
In the meantime, there might be some issues with links people have posted using forums.nba-live.com for topics and uploads to the Downloads database. They should all be working again once we get everything fixed up.

Good luck
BTW the forum has never been so fast

forums.nba-live.com is now operational again, so the navigation links have been updated accordingly. We're still cleaning up a few issues regarding old HTTP links and redirects, and should have it fixed up soon, but for the most part we're back to business as usual.

The YouTube embed is still unhappy, getting "Insecure content blocked" "This page is trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources"
ah man, my signature video too.
Sun Jul 01, 2018 2:55 pm
I've noticed that too. I'll troubleshoot that as well.

Everything should be working properly for the most part. Just cleaning up some mixed content warnings, and sorting out the YouTube embed mod.

Any news about YouTube embed ?
ps : good job for cleaning the chineese spams so fast

Nothing yet. I'll post a further update when I can sort it out. In the meantime, I'd suggest posting a link underneath any embedded videos so that people can open them up on YouTube. External links are set to open in a new tab.

Embedded videos should be working again now.

It seems to be working

All this time, I thought it was an issue from my ISP. Thanks, Andrew!

Definitely a problem at our end, but fortunately a quick fix when I looked into it (it wasn't SSL friendly; now it is). Good to know that it's working as normal for everyone else!

I'm having issues with the YouTube embed. I only see a black box with phpBB [video] at the bottom right.
It's the same on my desktop, laptop, and phone. I've tried multiple browsers and networks on each.
Mon Jul 30, 2018 5:30 pm
That's strange, it should definitely be working now. I can see the videos you've been embedding as well. Do you have any kind of security extensions/add-ons installed, or specific settings in your anti-virus that might be blocking that content?

Same for me .... Sometimes
Most of the time, it works fine.
Mon Jul 30, 2018 8:43 pm
Any other information about your browser and security software/settings would help.
Mon Jul 30, 2018 9:22 pm
Chrome 67.0.3396.99
Panda Dome antivirus

Should definitely be working in the latest version of Chrome. The only thing I can think of would be interference from the anti-virus, browser security settings, or an extension/plugin.

I'm running the same Chrome version as sticky-fingers. I've tried on a Mac, Windows 10, and Android 8.1. My home WiFi, work network, and 4G all have the same issue.
I've tried running Chrome in Incognito mode to rule out any extensions. I also tried Edge. None of them work. I only have the default Windows Defender antivirus.

That's really odd, then. I'll look into it, but everything is working for me at the moment. Do you get any messages about blocked content, or any other warnings?
Tue Jul 31, 2018 1:31 am
Chrome does show a popup to the right of the address bar that says "Insecure content blocked - This page is trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources." There's an option to "Load unsafe scripts" which I've done with the same result.
I noticed this error in the Network traffic in Chrome Dev tools. I'm not sure if it's causing the issue, but the error occurs when the script runs that renders the video, so it looks related.

That might be useful, thanks. Are you accessing the Forum through forums.nba-live.com, or nba-live.com/forums?
Tue Jul 31, 2018 2:08 am
I was using nba-live.com/forums. Switched to forums.nba-live.com and the embeds are now working successfully!
It seems the phpBB plugin can find forums.nba-live.com/bbmedia.php but not nba-live.com/forums/bbmedia.php

Well, thanx for your comments Breems but it seems that i'm ont the right subdomain.
I'll check the url next time i encounter this bug.
Tue Jul 31, 2018 11:12 am
Good to know! I'll see if I can adjust the BBCode to ensure that it works for people accessing the Forum without the subdomain. Thanks for the heads up and the help in troubleshooting!
