Guess ratings for top two draft picks

Postby VlaDiv on Sat Sep 18, 2004 10:20 am

Okay, I figured they will both be in the 60s range since melo and lebron were, and these guys are not half as hyped. Okafor will be better now I think, but maybe howard will become the MAN in the future.

Okafor is better right now, but Howard might become better than Okafor in the future.

Okafor- 60
Howard- 58

They haven't played a single NBA game yet... how can they be busts? I think Dre's guesses are pretty much what I would've said.

i would rate okafor better when the game launches but i would give howard a better potential rateing. i think when all is said he done he will be the better player. then again he might never touch the ball with francis and mobley on the team.

I meant, I bet they will both be busts or not superstar material. I don't see any stars or franchise players coming from this draft. A bunch of potential wasted because they skipped college and went straight to the pros.

What do you mean right choice? They took Okafor because Magic took Howard, that's really the only reason.

If they had the first pick I think they would have taken Howard based on his potential.

:? this means more player updates for me, but I've gotten a better system no because I have a laptop and I just do the ratings there, and then type them on notepad or whatever instead of writing it on paper, and then copying it to the forum. Now also when I'm done I can just copy and paste.

Anyways, I made them for 2004, and Howard was 71 [versatility], and Okafor was 72 or 73 I think.

Most reports indicated they (Orlando) were going to pick Okafor. If they did, I'd assume Charlotte would take Howard... I still think Okafor was the better pick, there were also rumours going around that Charlotte could take Livingston.

Okafor > Howard, Livingston (at the moment)

He should be like a 62 just on the fact that he has handles, is a good passer, and has good offensive awareness.
His shot also isn't as bad as people might think, but I think they'll ive him like a 51. I'll post what I had for all the draft picks for 2004 when I feel like it

who's got the Magic??

Postby harry_lp7 on Sat Sep 18, 2004 4:21 pm

i think Emeka will be rated better than howard.. but dwight is better in terms of potential and in real life i think dwight will be the next Kevin Garnett 5 years from now! that's for sure..i'l rate emeka with 65 and 60 for dwight.. seb telfair will be 49... both of them should have a shot blocker icon and a big dunker.. hehehe..

Wow, it's almost like copy/pasting Kwame Brown's college scouting report
