HDMI PC to HDTV Issues

Hi can anyone help me with this weird issue im having.

For some reason, when I put hook and HDMI cable from my pc to my tv ( to display the game on the tv), the sound plays through the tv. But when I put the game out of window mode, so it is full screen----it mutes. Only When i take it out of full screen mode will sound play. In Full Screen mode without the hdmi hooked up, sound plays fine on the PC Game. Does anyone have a clue about whats happening here and how I can fix it? Ive done this in the past with games and never had this problem.

Ive been simply zooming my tv and dragging the .exe on the laptop to make something workable but never achieving true full screen mod (With Sound)

maybe just need to know what type of laptop your using

This is just an issue.

Just restart the game in full screen
