Dean Ambrose might actually have a decent chance of surviving in Westeros.

After the first episode set the table, the second kicked things into high gear. Action and movement on all fronts, concluding with an enjoyable fight scene that makes it clear that the good guys - or at least, the ones who pass for the good guys in Game of Thrones, anyway - aren't going to have it easy.
I can see a lot of people not exactly mourning
the Sand Snakes, and I'm kind of in the same boat (no pun intended). For some reason, I have a bad feeling about Olenna Tyrell. I also think Sansa is going to be in way over her head. She's been paying attention and learning how the game is played, but she's not the chessmaster she believes herself to be.
And of course, we have our first obligatory nudity of the season.

Was rooting for the sisters in that fight but immediately reminded that I'm watching Game of Thrones. What a hard ending.

Dany's comment about Jon "bend(ing) the knee" was a sobering reminder that she's perhaps not that different to the other monarchs we've seen. That was a little disappointing, as was her fascination with Olenna, who as I said, I have kind of a bad feeling about at this point in time. The mere fact that she's outlived a lot of people and become cynical and jaded doesn't make her as smart as she thinks she is; at the end of the day, I still believe Tyrion is the sharpest mind in Westeros, at least in terms of doing what's best for society.

The Sand Snakes are more disappointing than when Derrick Rose went to the Knicks, all that hype only to be disappointed by the results.

Andrew, very weird feeling with Olenna. What if she tipped off euron so he could attack the Dorne-bound ships to force Dany to take action and not lay siege? After all, she wanted revenge for what Cersei did.
shadowgrin, or you know... the Lakers superteam.
Tue Jul 25, 2017 1:43 am
That's definitely an interesting theory. It would fit her history of scheming and manipulation, but that being said, I'm not totally sure that's it, but something feels off there.

i am mostly excited for the reunions and first meetings that are going to be taking place soon. also for the first time in the show i am actually interested in every storyline going on. love seeing Arya going north and looking forward to brandons returns to winterfell

jesus christ that arya scene was way too intense for me. I kept thinking she'd get bitten by the wolf/direwolf and that'd be the end of her.
Tue Jul 25, 2017 10:36 am
Remember that the plan for them to attack King's Landing was initiated by Tyrion. This supports Olenna's remarks to Danny not to listen to clever men. I think Olenna could be a snek here.
MAN was I disappointed in the snake princesses. All that hype for that?
Tue Jul 25, 2017 10:52 am
But they wanted to mobilise and attack King's Landing, too. They just figured the Unsullied and Dothraki would be a part of that. Either way, Yara's portion of the Iron Fleet would be on their way to King's Landing, and ambushed by Euron. Of course, that's not to say that Olenna won't spin things her way.
Tue Jul 25, 2017 11:33 am
Agreed.
I thought Yara would die for sure in that battle. Interesting sneak peek on episode 3 plot: "Daenerys holds court; Cersei returns a gift; Jaime learns from his mistakes."

so far she is the mvp this season. so far both episodes gave me goosebumps 1 time and both of those scenes belonged to Arya
Tue Jul 25, 2017 11:49 am
Yeah, I thought they were going to kill Yara off, though I get the impression Euron would've cut her throat had Theon tried to save her. As it stands, she's another hostage.
Tue Jul 25, 2017 1:41 pm
That was what I was expecting. Theon would charge Euron and Yara killed off a la Catelyn.
Regarding Arya, I think the direwolf she found is indeed Nymeria. Theory time! I think Arya recognized that Nymeria is now a wild beast, that's why she told the wolf "that's not you." Same case with herself.
Tue Jul 25, 2017 1:49 pm
Apparently the producers have confirmed that to be true.
Tue Jul 25, 2017 2:04 pm
It's kinda disappointing that Nymeria would not take part in the story anymore given the closure with Arya. So...where's ghost?

they said it in the video right after the episode

Last time Ghost was on-screen was when Jon was revived. Maybe he was left of Castle Black?
I always liked how the Greyjoy's squid sigil looks like. It makes squids fearsome!

Man eruon's axe with the greyjoy sigil looks so good
so sexy

Figured it would be something like that. I didn't see it as I don't believe they show it here, but I read about it on TV Tropes.
Tue Jul 25, 2017 3:40 pm
I don't watch anything after the show, even the preview of the next episode. After some risky googling, I found out they did confirm it.
Maybe Bran would need to warg into ghost at some point.

Tyrion is a time travelling fetus? Points for creativity there.

Can it be considered nudity when he does not have a ______? Alright, I guess she is enough.
