three questions:
1. @andrew, when can we expect v3.0?

2. @everyone, how do you guys manage to make this game work on modern systems today? last time i tried this game it had microstuttering issues. i'm using win7 64bit;
3. @andrew, the pics from yesterday's friday five, from which nba live game did you take them?

I'm not sure yet, especially as Murat is still putting out these great updates. I'd hate to release 3.0, only to miss out on including a bunch of new updates. I also haven't had the time to do anything else with the roster, like check ratings or see if there's any other enhancements I can make to the roster itself.
Screenshots in
that article are from NBA Live 08, NBA 2K11, NBA Live 08, NBA 2K17, and NBA Live 08 respectively.

Nicely done. Must be almost finished at this point.

Actually half of the stadiums are done... at least I'm complete with what hokupguy left.
Currently I'm working on Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena.

excellent work @murat, you are very very talented.
how do you guys solve tehnical issues (microstuttering, .exe that stays in background) with nba live series on modern pc's?
also, can this game use player models from live 2005 or 06 or 07?
Thu Jun 22, 2017 10:22 pm
I haven't had any issues with framerate, but as far as the process continuing to run in the background after exiting the game, I did make some batch files that you can run to terminate the process for 2005-08 (otherwise, you can just do it manually through the Task Manager). I haven't had that issue with NBA Live 2004 though, only NBA Live 2005-08.
I'm not 100% sure about body models, but I don't think so.

another problem... i cannot edit ingame resolution and texture detail. i even tried editing hwconfig and feconfig in my documents/nba live 2004 but game still runs on low resolution and low texture details.
any workaround?
p.s. also i noticed that some players are missing cfs (for example nick anderson, charles barkley, etc...) + some teams missing jerseys (for example new jersey nets) + team logos are all default (from 2003-2004 season).

v2.0 doesn't include updated logos. That's something that will be added in 3.0, now that I have them. Barkley and Anderson should definitely have faces though, and the Nets jerseys are updated, so I'm not sure what's happened there.

i had to guide installer to my nba live 2004 installation folder (which is D:\NBA LIVE 2004) because installer default routine was something like D:\NBA LIVE~. and i noticed what i mentioned above.
any tips for ingame resolution and texture detail fix?
Fri Jun 23, 2017 7:37 pm
The installation routine is supposed to get the proper path from the registry, so I'll look into that.
I'm not sure about the resolution. I know that it's an issue when using newer chipsets that came along way after NBA Live 2004 was released. My in-game resolution is set to 1280x1024 but I don't remember doing that; I had to delete the hwconfig file to stop the game from crashing, since it was copied from my old PC. I'll have another look.
