Editing logo in XCommon.viv

I'm having trouble editing the Denver Nuggets logo in the Xcommon.viv. Evertime I do, my new logo shows up at the Dynasty menu screen but the game crashes to the desktop when I try to play a game.
I've tried both by editing the .viv file itself and by using the custom art feature. Neither method works for me. I've edited other logos in the game, but this is the only one that I can't get to work.
Any suggestions

Anyone still patching 2004, that knows how to solve this problem?
