3+ years? Star Wars Republic Commando was released in 2005 and it still has server support. They haven't released another game yet so why shut them down?

Why would they want to pay to keep them up?

A shame for those still playing and doing stuff with NBA Live 10, but with the subsequent cancellations it did have a longer run of online support than usual. Hopefully they'll continue to support NBA Jam: On Fire Edition for a while yet.

An NBA Live 14 hasn't been officially announced/confirmed, but I do wonder if the move is at least in part being made in anticipation of a new release later this year.

Checked myself a little while ago. Looks like it's down to capture cards/off-screen video and photography, and USB file transfers.

Yeah, I'm not sure where that info is coming from. I mean, we're probably going to start hearing about The Drive to NBA Live and the future of the series come February, but I highly doubt they're firing up those old servers again.
