first question: How is it going with the TNT Board?

Second question:
I want to make a texture for the ESPN Scoreboard. [ Image ]


What is important to consider? When I am looking at the special team logos and the glass effect in the team color. Is it possible to take the complete "Team block" as the team logo to have the glass effect:


I mean this one (without the score. the score has to be appear in the game over that) [ Image ]. I would make 30 of this team blocks like the example for the minnesota one here.
An the background texture of the board.Is this possible? Do you have any more tips for me? I have downloaded all the new ESPN team logos and would start within the next days if you are interested to make an ESPN board after the tnt one.

For the current status of knowledge, custom team logos is the only option.
So, if you wish to draw ESPN texture, that's OK. At the same time you can make custom team logos with glass effect, same as you proposed.
That will give same result as we had back in 2014 when I widely used custom logos.

Not at all. Nothing special.
I experience some limitations, especially because the texture itself is the lowest possible layer of all scoreboard's elements. That means I can not create use transparency effect on the texture - no glass effect on the scoreboard with team colors fields and logos.
Not sure if I will success to raise the texture "from the bottom".

Most of all I would like to make TNT - just in order to kick off the stone - feel slight pressure as I know many of you like it and are waiting for it.
I have nothing against TNT - a little problem - I have no texture. I repeat again: if someone wants to do a texture (TNT) - please, I will release scorebug with the first one (or best one) I will receive. Not a problem if no one can, will make it by myself someday.

For me that sportsnet scoreboard is the best one. A quick glance tells you everything... Scores are next to each other... and shot clock on far right. It's a beauty !

The away score is still sometimes disappearing for me with v5 of your NBA TV scoreboard. Beside that, I really like that one!

If one could only add an team foul counter...I hate it that you have no indication whether your next foull will result in free throws or not. You even have that in the lowest division in germany, but not in the NBA...But that's up to 2k to add, not you, I guess...

So where is he supposed to ask... exrxixxx has asked people not to pm him but to ask/message him here. This is the only place to ask.

BTW, I don't think exrxixxx will ever tell people how to do it (he never has), even though it would benefit the modding community a lot. Andrew talked about this in the past, people don't feel like giving away their trade secrets. The only tutorial I can ever find on how it's done is from a tutorial from back in NBA 2K12, which is obviously of no use now:

Example logo000,iff is for Philadelphia.

Make changes, test in the game and you will know if this file is responsible for logo on the scroreboard.

That sucks that I can not place teamcolors behind the texture, therefore they look plain. Some transparency added to colors, but that is not enough for 1:1

I made it smaller because of flyout stats that shows up during the game. With original size overlapping is pretty distasteful.
If will find out how to move stats more to the left, then will resize the scorebox to correct size.

None of these logoxxx.iff files is containing the the part of the scoreboard, where the teamcolors/short name is stored. They are just the several logos, used somewhere else.

None of these logoxxx.iff files is containing the the part of the scoreboard, where the teamcolors/short name is stored. They are just the several logos, used somewhere else.

So probably 2k use other names for logo files this year.
