The REAL NLSC General Talk rules...

I know the rules are linked up the top but lets face it things work a little bit differently around here. Here's some basic rules, and punishments that may follow.

Gang$ta Wannabe's
1. Do not, under any circumstances, speak in ebonics. There's a reason for this, and that reason is that most of us don't tolerate illiterate morons who can't spell properly. So by saying "yo sup dawg" to one of your friends in person might make you look cool (to you it does anyway), on here it makes you look mentally impaired.

Examples: MikeBibby, MikeBibby, MikeBibby

Wiggers
2. If you're in a position to speak in ebonics (i.e, black) prepare to get flamed. However, if you speak in ebonics and are not in a position to do so (i.e white) then you won't get flamed but it's more likely you'll just suffer a long NLSC full of sniping comments and random ridicule about your lack of mirrors. Some of these "wiggers", as they're commonly known are actually decent contributers to the NLSC so no one really flames them, but for any n00bs it's against the rules.

Examples: MikeBibby (I don't give a fuck what you say, Puerto Rican isnt black), ][]]ragon, Matt, anyone who replies to "who's the best rapper?" threads.

Trouble Makers/Bitches
3. Don't start fights. Ok this is the token bullshit rule no one follows but it's here anyway. The fact is it's against NLSC rules to call people names or have an overly aggressive attitude. And yes, I've been here for a good 4 or so years now. If you do happen to get into a fight, it probably means you're a dickhead or showed signs of being a dickhead and were dealt with accordingly by the NLSC Vigilante Squad. It does exist, no, you don't know who they are.

Exmaples: MikeBibby, Martin, Homer (pre-JJ days), LankyMan (well kinda), Riot (well kinda again)

Whingers and how to deal with Flaming
4. If you get into a fight there are effective ways of dealing with the situation. My favourite is to always make the other person look really stupid. That's basically the easiest way to win but some people choose alternatives. One thing I've noticed around here is that certain posters seem to panic everytime they get into an argument with someone and fill their and Andrews PM box with complaints. When this does nothing, they then make threads about it and act like whiny bitches. It's considered a mortal sin to the verterans amongst us (its one of those unwritten rules I created) for someone to complain about being flamed.

Examples: Riot, LankyMan

Spammaliscious
5. If you want to be an all-out spammer then fuck off. Seriously, we have spammers here and we tolerate them but if your only purpose in this NLSC World is to spam the forums go play somewhere else like .org where you'll get banned in a few days time. To be honest there's no really watertight way to deal with spammers, because if you flame them they reply and then that increases their post count but if you ignore them they just keep posting anyway.

Examples: Everyone... ok not everyone is a spammer, but I couldn't think of any. Feel free to suggest.

Suck-Ups
6. Don't be a ball licker. I hate this, the new guy shows up at the forum and automatically starts sucking upto the webmaster or a moderator, someone in charge anyway. It doesn't even have to be a new guy as we've seen in one case, but it does happen. If you do this the chances of you getting flamed for it are kinda low because you're generally liked by the webmaster so you have that on your side. Just don't do it, makes you look stupid and people will bitch about you behind your back forever.

Examples: None yeah right, James and Spam Harder

Forum "veterans"
7. You're not a veteran. No, I really don't care if you've got 3 billion posts in 2 hours that doesn't mean shit. Getting invited to a bunch of supachats on MSN doesn't either, you're just not. Veterans are kinda decided by us, the people who have proved that we have no collective lives by posting here for so long so often. It is possible for you newer guys to become a veteran but again unfortunately for you it's upto us. So basically if we don't like you you will be a n00b forever. I've got no examples of this, but it goes for everyone... post count=nothing.

Celebratory Threads
8. If you want to make a thread celebrating your 1000th post or whatever it is just make it worth reading. Do extended shout-outs, or write a story like Jackal did. No one wants to read "I got 1000, I thank these people:"... because it's boring, and if you're boring we'll kill you. Well we would, but they all seem to get away and start posting at NBA Talk where they're out of our reach. Nevermind we'll get you someday, I promise.

Everyone's a Comedian
9. Don't try to be funny. Chances are if you're trying to be funny you're not, just be yourself and if you're funny we'll laugh... if not we'll think you're LankyMan (joke). There's alot of ways to contribute to this place, we don't need a forum full of comedians so if you try and steal my crown (pfft... Funniest User is mine, Pineapple's in the balance) I'll remove your heart with a rubber hose. You really don't want to know how this is possible, but it is. Involves suction btw, like stealing fuel from a car. If anyone wants step by step instructions so they can try it at home PM me.

Rejects
10. We do not want any social misfits. When I say that I don't mean goths, but I mean like some of those dudes who post exclusively in the patching threads or NBA Talk come here and act like they're gonna get their head ripped off if they post anything that doesn't involve the words "Awesome Tony!" or "Kobe Bryant". If you come here acting all awkward and strange, you will get ripped off because you're an easy target and we all like easy targets because it makes us look alot smarter than we are. And lets face it, we're really not that intelligent.

Anyway, if you follow these rules chances are you'll still get flamed and have bad days here, but we do try and make the place as comfortable as possible for the guys that are liked and show promise. In fact, I have a mental list in my head of guys I would help out if they get flamed. In order to find out who is in that list, just flame everyone who posts and if I reply you know they're there

The rules don't say anything against rap at all, just against people who come onto the forum like "where all ma niggaz at?". It annoys me that you use your patching skills as an attention getting method. We welcome new & skilled patchers. We like their work & appreciate their contribution to the community. Don't mistake our support & admiration for your work as us worshipping you. You make it sound as if you did a great great great deed by making patches. No one forced you to.
