Question:

Once players are drafted into MyGM or MyLeague, is there a reason why players are being paid lucrative salaries? Some are paid in excess of 40 million dollars. Is this a direct result with players sitting in FA prior to starting a fantasy draft league?

This is a fantasy draft roster that includes players who are not even alive anymore. I did not mess with any contracts. If I did, I would need to have all the players written down, and categorize them by who should make what compared to eachother if they were all at there best playing at the same time. For this type of roster, contracts are thrown out the window. I allow CPU trades/signings when I start myleagues with a roster like this, and I turn off financial rules.

It just doesn't make sense to have contracts at this time. However, that will be a possible update in the future.

Right! I have to turn off financial rules or else no trades can be made. And you won't be able to sign any players via FA neither as you are capped out due to overpaid players on your team. In my current league, I have Xavier McDaniel as part of my bench rotation. If I remember correctly, he has an 81 rating but making 28 million.

I will try adding players to teams prior to starting a new league, and see if there are changes.

Not out of the question for me to make an update with adjusted contracts. Thanks for the motivation to do it. This project has been exhausting.

After testing, I have found that players whom were sitting in FA prior to start of fantasy league will be overpaid. I added Xavier McDaniel to the Knicks prior to the draft and picked him in the same round. He is now paid 6 million as part of my bench rotation as opposed to 28 million in my prior league.

Here's what I'm doing (over half done) I'm giving salaries to all the free agents in a declining manner (starting at 35 mil for Jordan, and going down the list). The average player in the NBA makes $5 mil, so that will be my midpoint (somewhere around 82 overall on this roster). All players on the edit player screen will have 5 year contracts (not sure if that will impact the draft).

I'll experiment with it. I'll try to get a release out with adjusted contract shortly.

Hey guys, no matter what I do, I can't make contracts work. I tried everything. It's just the way the roster is setup.

That shouldn't hinder you from enjoying it, just turn the cap off or financial rules off in the season.

Made a silent update (same roster name). Just fixed Mashburn portrait and 95% of the FA list has adjusted contracts.

You will still be well over the cap. But it looks better.

Because of the nature of this roster, it doesn't need to have accurate contracts.

I went through the roster this morning and was still amazed to see Reggie Miller even though I have already seen him in game. I grew up in Indiana so the nostalgia still kicks in

One suggestion, could you change the coaches for MyLeague? Seems weird having Luke Walton be a coach for Lakers or not having PJax coach Bulls.

FYI to all: I plan on also turning this into an all time teams roster, each player will carry his portrait to the team and it will stick. I just havn't had the time to do it.

It will be a little easier because all the necessary players are already in the game. But I think that would be a cool roster for people to sink teeth into. This is in no way showing disrespect to devomatic, he did an amazing job with his all time teams roster. It's just going to be another option for you folks who want a different type of version with portraits.

I'll be doing a soft update later that adds George Mikan, Rex Chapman and James Posey. Turns out who I thought was Dolph Schayes was George Mikan (without glasses). CAYD discovered this.

Here's my take.

If you want it bad enough, you can come up with the money to buy the game. You get the chance to use not only all these great mods made by the likes of TBM, PeacemanNot, Pinoy, Mr. Star, Manni Live, Maumau etc etc. But You also get to use all the great rosters that are being created. It's literally 100's of hours of enjoyment for the price of the game.

Yes, it's a draft roster. So those guys will be in the draft. They are under 80 overall so they are on the regular teams.

Anyways, can you take a look at Stephon Marbury..I see Ronnie Turiaf's portrait when I choose Marbury. Would be great if that can be fixed, my OCD goes into overdrive when I see that.
