The Rio 2016 Patch is a conversion mod of the regular NBA 2K16. In this mod you will be able to play with your favourite International Teams, who took part in the Rio 2016 Olympics. Also included are some International teams who failed to qualify for the Olympics.

I'd like to thank medevenx for his continued contribution to this forum and to this community. His FIBA 2K (NBA 2K14) conversion was a huge influence for me to make this mod, because of this I have used a lot of his ratings, signatures, tendencies and aspects from his FIBA ball in my patch. I have been given full permission by him to release the patch with these ratings and I thank medevenx for his generosity. You can find medenvex FIBA 2K's conversion here:

Arnau13:
Arnau is responsible for a lot of fonts and textures used by some of the jerseys in the patch. He has made my job a lot easier when it comes to making jerseys. He has also made a FIBA scoreboard which will be included download file. You can find Arnau's mod thread here:

iamSamke:
Samke is the original creator of the Serbia and France jerseys. He is also responsible for the logos made for the patch and for influencing ratings for Serbia. I have asked a lot from Samke and I thank him for his patience.

Content:

The content that is included in the Rio 2016 Patch is as follows:

Roster:

This roster is complete with correct accessories and accessory colours etc. You may notice that I have not included Venezuela in the patch. If you really want me to make Venezuela I will, however please take into consideration I have had very little time on my hands recently which is one of the main reasons this patch is releasing very late. I just can't see myself trekking through 12 players with generic CAP faces... if that is really what you want then I will do it. Let me know.

Me and Arnau13 tried are best when it came to creating fonts for each team. I hope they are as accurate as possible. See previews below.

There is no tutorial but I can tell you what I did. I changed the names of the teams on MyLeague and then searched for the changed Strings on Cheat Engine to remove the Teams Location (Philadeplhia/Milwaukee etc.) just so I could keep the name of the team on it's own. I then used Limnono's Modifer to copy the roster over from MyLeague, which can be found here:

I've known for a while now, only problem is it gets a bit glitchy with the roster as most of Euroleague and Classic Teams get deleted because you're copying over as roster that doesn't use them.

Yes that would be great, I particularly struggle with the Numbers and Font of jerseys. I don't really know how to edit them, are you able to edit the position of them? I finished the Australia jersey texture and I just need to finish the numbers. Here's a preview:

I will definitely come around to it. When I experimented with editing Logos, I found that it crashes the game when you try to use the External File Plugin but it works perfectly when you import it manually through the Explorer.

It's would be a pain in the ass If I had to ask everyone who gets the mod to have to import every logo by themselves. I'll be testing it out to see if maybe there are ways to get around the crashing to make it work.

I would rather not, your roster is one of the main reason why I started this. Mainly because most your roster is inaccurate and I didn't really like it (Players being on teams when they're not supposed to be, ratings that are way too high etc.)


Sorry if you find that offending, it's just my opinion.

EDIT:

Besides I have come to far to just combine mods, I will continue my own work and if you want to help I will gladly accept and give high credit. But in terms of combining mods, sorry it's not something I want to do.

lol No thanks, I prefer your mod than Freq's. Seems more systematic and 'cleaner' + team names are changed.

As soon as I finish this Brazil jersey I'll finish off Serbia.

That would take a lot of time, I'm only one person. Besides editing faces in 2K16 is much harder than in 2K14 and previous titles.

Progress is very slow. I've found out that a lot of files that I want to edit can't be edited (courts, jerseys) and it limits me extremely. For example, the Clippers court is stored in the SYNC.bin which can't be edited, which basically means you can't use Brazil at Home (ironically) otherwise you'll be using the Clippers court as you will see below. Most of my time has been spent on ways to bypass these limits.
Anyways I've finished the Brazil jerseys:



I really want to release this shit as fast a possible considering the Olympics are nearly over already, but I would predict I might be releasing late.

You will have the same surprise for the Raptors and Magic(for some reason). Can't Brazil be asigned to a different team other than these 3 teams with their courts placed in Sync.bin? It is very ironic indeed if we can't use a Rio Court.

We can use the Rio court, it's just not with Brazil being on the Home side. Luckily I'm not actually using the Magic or the Raptors so I should be fine there. One of the main reasons I can't move Brazil to any other team other than the Clippers is because of the collar. I'm already using every other team that has a triangular collar so it is my only option unfortunately.
