TBM wrote:Cheat Engine, or for basic stuff, just the in-game camera angle editor.
In game camera angle changes cant impact the camera shots im talking about. When a player is at the line, there are 2 common camera views used, both a good distance from the player (This is during his free throw ritual), Obviously I cannot change that in game.
CheatEngine doesn't allow camera angle changes for certain pre determined angles.. correct? I downloaded cheatengine when it first came out and it didn't have that capability.
I know it's possible to change pre determined angles in the game, because I see posts about regular camera views to actualy broadcast camera views.

Maybe Hex editing? What program are people using to hex edit the game? and has anybody tried it?

Ain't that the truth. It's like if the 2010 roster by jubba and smithers doesn't exist...
You realize that the 2010 roster isn't even close to the same thing. He's adding a player like Marcus Camby... and a couple other players that don't really impact Myteam or anything else. HUGE credit to him, he looks like hes doing a great job with this roster, it's a lot of work. But you are comparing apples and oranges.
I am talking about releasing a roster that has ALL the MYTEAM players in free agency, and hidden players like Barkley (who never agreed to be in the game... but is in the hidden files) etc. Don't call me unrealistic, or the stupid "tin foil hat" term, when you are making nonsense comparisons. It's not even close to the same thing.
Why do you think Forbes had an article on that draft roster? Because the players were ALL user created. This is a totally different story.
I am doing the best I can to contribute to the community. If I can locate the presentation files in NBA 2k Explorer, I will make a TNT presentation for the game.

So is Greg going to be around next year or anytime this summer? He's our only hope at modding anything. We haven't heard from him in awhile...

I imagine he has been bought off already,

TBM said he was caught up with school work awhile ago. But now we're going into the summer and I doubt he has a full time job considering what he was able to do earlier in the year.

The tinfoil hattery is strong with this one.
Also, you're just wrong. Nice try, though.

Have you been in contact with him recently? You're the only person who really works with him and knows inside information...

Yes, I have. He's fine.

TBM likes to treat people like a Draymond Green kick to the nuts, or Bynum push in the air, or McHale clothes line, except he does it hiding behind a computer. Online bullying, gotta love it
You are a talented modder, too bad you are not better with people.

There is no progress here so i dont understand why this thread is called modding progress, it was two years, two years of no progress means no progress for me

Sko and Amber, you know I love you guys (Girl?), hopefully your comments are more for motivation than anything else. There has been some progress, and the game is very moddable, we just don't have the bodies right now doing it.
You know me, I LOVE 2k13 and 2k14, but I don't want that to be it for modding, and I don't think it will be. We have a lot of talented people around, we just need some of them to come out of the woodwork and start helping out.

Dee4Three, yeah my bad, from time to time i must post my frustration about next gen modding. Im not talking about courts/jerseys/cfs modding, im talking about deep roster editing, you know the best what im talking about, im more than sure greg will never release something new, no new faces around, two years, i see no real hope for next gen+ tbh i really dont like next gen gameplay, i feel one big script everytime i play the game, tons of long animations, every single move is some kind of continuation of next or previous animation.Im also not sure about improvement of cpu ai. Not sure, maybe im old, but i feel a lot of bs when im listening to 2k devs, when they are trying to tell us about hiring modders and how good game is now because they hired "one of us", i just smell one big shit.

If you say "Next Gen" 2K is moddable, I have to take your word for it since you know alot more than I do. 2K Modding shouldn't have to die with 2k14. Unfortunately, the lack of a user friendly tool, like the ones Vlad provided, pretty much closed the door on myself and I'm sure many other less savvy modders. I hope it does get cracked wide open, by someone, sometime. Until then I will keep enjoying and modding 2k14. At the end of the day, we are all on the same "team".

No worries. The patches have improved the game, it seems more reactive. I agree, WAY too many animations, the footplanting needs to be tweaked. And I also agree about the "scripted" part. It has gotten a lot better since the debut, but sometimes the game makes you scratch your head.
However, the visuals are great, and with the improvements in gameplay I certainly enjoy it NOW.
I have not lost hope for next gen modding for PC, I think it will just take one or two super talented people to come into the community and create an awesome roster tool.

Yes, all on the same team. Lets encourage eachother and try to take modding to another level.

What can I do if I'm not a programmer to help you with mods?
