How many games will the Warriors win?

I wouldn't count them out. Their last couple of games aside, they've rebounded well from losses, and have yet to lose two in a row all season. I expect they'll at least equal the record, but it's far from impossible that they win the last four to set a new one.

Also consider that Warriors are 7-3 in their last 10 games - which makes whole 1/3 of their losses.

They got a back to back on the road also. If they lose to the Spurs on the 8th April at home (and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they would) then they can't break it and I'd even be pushed to say that they wouldn't be able to tie it either.

I think his rating as a player is a little overrated. He's certainly the best shooter of all time(or is he?), but the GOAT? Sorry that's just ridiculous, he's gotta hit his prime eventually. We'll see what they do in the playoffs, maybe a couple of championships would rank him higher realistically but I can't see the Warriors being a dominant force for years to come considering how many up and coming teams there are in NBA as of late.

I would stop well short of Greatest Player of All-Time, but I think Greatest Shooter of All-Time isn't too far-fetched.

I agree it's a tall order for them to win the final four games, but it's not impossible, and the way they're playing, not completely unlikely. As much as I'll be sorry to see the Bulls lose the record, I've resigned myself to it happening, and you can only tip your hat to the team that does it. My feeling is that they do.

Heard this on the radio today- Westbrook has as many triple doubles as Magic did in his mvp season of '89. Durant will be the first person since Jordan to have the combination of points, rebounds, assists (28/8/5). That also happened in 1989.

Despite those gaudy numbers, neither will be the mvp and the mvp of this year will likely be an unanimous winner

So I've just been browsing through twitter a little bit and it looks like people think Pop is after throwing this game. At one stage he played a whole quarter with Kevin Martin and two bigs against the small ball Warriors. Kevin Martin nearly played more minutes then Danny Green who is the starting SG... okay? Seems a little fishy considering the game was considerably close and could have been a lot closer if Kawhi hadn't bricked half of his shots.

Honestly I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Pop gave the Warriors a little breathing room
to tie the record. He is known for being friendly with Steve Kerr as he was his coach for awhile. I just don't understand how the Spurs lost that one.

It's definitely a hallmark of bandwagoners and fanboys, and it's happened with every team that's been on top, including the Bulls back in the day. When it comes to sports fans, there are often just as many people who are ungracious in the wake of victory and success, as those who are sore losers on behalf of their favourite team. I'd also suggest that the more a fanbase talks about "haters", the more "haters" they end up creating.

I doubt that's the case. It's not like starters are always going to play more minutes than reserves, especially when you're talking about hot and cold role players. Green wasn't exactly playing very well, so even if Pop's plan didn't pan out, I doubt it was done to throw the game. Martin made better use of his 19 minutes than Green did of his 24, and no one outside of Leonard and Aldridge provided much of a scoring punch.

Yeah but playing Kevin Martin 19 minutes... I mean he can do good on offense but he's just a massive defensive liability especially when he's guarding Steph and Klay.

Still, that just makes it a failed strategy at worst, not an attempt to throw the game. I mean, Pop's not above sitting his starters in nationally televised games. If he's willing to give up a win, we've seen that he has no qualms about being less than subtle.

I find it difficult to raise players in this generation above the great one's of the past, in part because of the rule changes that have taken place. With the absence of meaningful hand-checking among other things, I'm a little more than reluctant to put the Warriors on a high pedestal. Like, why reward someone for accomplishing something someone else did already, with more difficulty?

It does put things in perspective, in that, while the Warriors feat is amazing, I contend it would've been better if they accomplished it without the silly gimmicks that are so prevalent in today's game. I still watch basketball, and play from time to time, but I have, since 2011, not appreciated the game's changes as much anymore.
