Leaked ahead of the official announcement, so...spoiler warning, maybe? If such things are worthy of spoiler warnings...
The All-Star Reserves have been leaked prior to their official announcement on TNT.
Paul Millsap, Chris Bosh, Jimmy Butler, John Wall, Isaiah Thomas, Andre Drummond and DeMar DeRozan have been named to the Eastern Conference team.
On the Western Conference team are Draymond Green, Anthony Davis, Chris Paul, DeMarcus Cousins, Klay Thompson, James Harden and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Seems ok to me. Hope Lillard won't cry again lol
Fri Jan 29, 2016 9:36 am
Take out Aldridge and put in Lillard.
Perfect otherwise.
Fri Jan 29, 2016 10:09 am
Why is Aldridge there and not Lillard? wtf
Fri Jan 29, 2016 10:10 am
Jeez, wished Kemba Walker had a spot on the Eastern squad. But who would I replace ?
Fri Jan 29, 2016 10:20 am
I think Aldridge is there instead of Lillard to balance out the frontcourt. But I'll take Lillard over Thompson this season. I know Thompson can go on a scoring rampage every once in a while and his scoring numbers are compromised because of Steph but Lillard is having a better season than him in my opinion.

He really did get snubbed that first year.
No real injustices this year... Too many good players so they were all pretty even. Bummed that Zaza didn't make it

also interesting that Whiteside didn't make it

Lillard definitely had a point last year, though he probably didn't express it in the most diplomatic or sporting manner. However, I liked that he cared enough about the game to want to be a part of it, and he did have a case, even if he was a little whiny in the way he broached the subject. The funny thing is, a lot of people seem to enjoy it when players don't sugar-coat their words, or opt for the "politically correct" answer, except of course when they don't agree with what's being said, or dislike the player saying it. It's a tad hypocritical; Charles Barkley was right on the money with that.
I think Lillard has a case this year, too. It's just that there are pretty good arguments for the players who were selected ahead of him, but he still counts as a snub. There are a couple of other players you could make an argument for, a couple of legacy selections who are still playing fairly well, but it's hard to drop any of the players who did receive the nod to get them into the game. I'd agree that there aren't any real injustices this year - Lillard is definitely the closest, in that regard - and overall, I'd say this year's selections were very on-point, for the most part.

Aldridge is probably the least qualified to make it, but I think Kemba should have made it over Derozan.
Fri Jan 29, 2016 11:29 pm
Oh yeah, imo Whiteside should and Bosh shouldn't play All Star game
Sat Jan 30, 2016 12:44 am
Lillard always a straight up shooter not just on the court but also whenever he says something.
He certainly sounds like a smart kid and confident one.
Which makes how he's going to handle being the biggest snub once again all the more interesting.
Sat Jan 30, 2016 1:25 am
I think the Mavs should have an allstar, you don't hold the 6th place in the west without at least one player (Dirk) getting rewarded for there efforts.
Aldridge shouldn't be there, sure the team has being outstanding but they have Leonard representing.
Sat Jan 30, 2016 2:22 am
not popular choices and their teams are under .500 but i think Gallanari is having a good season. same with Gordon Hayward
i agree Kemba Walker was worthy of an All star selection. the way Toronto has been playing, Deroza deserves his bid.
Sat Jan 30, 2016 2:58 am
The only reason LaMarcus is in is because his team is winning.
But if that's the case... what about Dirk? He's playing better than LaMarcus and his team is winning.
Sat Jan 30, 2016 5:43 am
I'd replace Klay and LaMarcus with Lillard and Dirk, but I understand loading the all star teams with guys from the league's two best teams. Good chance they'll get in after injuries. East roster looks pretty good. Never thought I'd see the day Isaiah Thomas made the team but he's having a good year.
Sat Jan 30, 2016 9:09 am
I'd agree that you could replace Aldridge with Dirk. Walker's definitely deserving of a mention, but it's tough to put him ahead of the other guards who were selected.
Sat Jan 30, 2016 12:05 pm
I saw something that said like this is the first all star game since 1997 without dirk or duncan
Sat Jan 30, 2016 12:57 pm
To be honest LMA is having kind of a lazy season. He is playing less than 30 MPG and is just coasting through without having to do much. Started the season off being fat as well.

Sounds about right. A testament to their longevity.

The Spurs needed representation because of their record. It's basically required by the coaches that the best teams get two players or more.
Same reason DeRozan is probably on there.
There's also a voting factor where the teams usually wind up with more bigs because coaches split votes for two or three guys total, while backcourt players split votes among like ten guys.

Helps being on one of the two unstoppable juggernauts in the league.

Everyone's talking about Aldridge but how about Drummond? Now that is what I call a real shame.
Pop should use guys like Aldridge and Kobe to intentionally foul Drummond so he sees minimal minutes.
Sat Jan 30, 2016 11:14 pm
So why do the heat have 2 players on the roster?
Sat Jan 30, 2016 11:18 pm
Wade is having the worst season in his career but he still got voted in because.... fanboys.
Bosh is actually having a good year, and deserves it. He is the best power forward in the east and you can see why coaches wanted a variety of players on the bench instead of all guards.
Tue Feb 02, 2016 1:45 am
Drummond is having a good year though. If you will account his free throw shooting then I think Shaq and Ben Wallace's selection on the All-Star team are also undeserving.
Tue Feb 02, 2016 7:48 am
Individually for the season...
Whiteside > Drummond
Shaq despite FT was a great player. Drummond not so much because he's worse at FT thus exploited more. Wallace made it because of being a defensive anchor on one of the best defensive teams in that era.

And those 2 weren't even Heat's best player.
