It's about time someone scores 50+ points. I have a feeling it'll be somebody random not high profile scorer.

That'd be fun. As much as I enjoy seeing one of the league's stars go off for 50 or 60, it's cool to be genuinely surprised by a Mo Williams or Corey Brewer.

Any truth to the rumor of Joe dumars taking over the Pelican Gm job?

at least get a hand on his face. jeez.
Big win by the Lakers tonight. Lou Williams started 1-10 and made 3 of his 4 shots in the clutch. Randle looks like he can develop to be a good rebounder.

Damn! The Pelicans are just 2 wins above the Lakers I know the injury bug has really bitten them hard but it's hard to think they will suck this much at the start of the season. The Lakers might have gotten this win but those lottery balls could soon haunt them.

On top of that, I think Anthony Davis is still a bit too trigger happy outside his range. Aside from a slight increase in rebounds, the only numbers that are up for him are his field goal and three-point attempts, turnovers, and fouls. A lot his numbers - while certainly not terrible - are a little down from last season. The Pelicans' problems go beyond him, as he's still playing pretty well in most respects, but I have to admit I was expecting more beastly numbers from him.

that last 3pt shot was fucking amazing.

Not enough to beat the Nuggets, though...and that just doesn't sound right.

The Warriors really missed Green's contributions. 7 losses more to tie the '95-'96 Bulls.

Curry should've just drove past Gallo on that last play. Too much dribbling
Also, give a cookie to that poster who predicted the Warriors'loss this week

How da heck do you lose to the Nuggets? Shame.
Haha. Westbrook vs Barea/Villanueva. You can't let those nobodies get into your head, Russell.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14561 ... all-winterMinnesota started that night five year ago with the No. 2 pick, the No. 20 pick and a $4 million problem. Kahn intended to fire then-coach Kurt Rambis, but he hadn't and let him twist in the wind for months. Rambis was owed about $4 million on his contract and, based on conversations with other executives, it seems that Kahn was under a de facto mandate he had to raise that money to pay off Rambis before firing him. For the record, Kahn strongly denied this was the case. But many competitors who were doing business with him did not believe him.
At this point, Kahn had turned the No. 20 pick into the No. 38 pick and the No. 43 picks and about $2.5 million. But, as was pointed out, he needed $4 million. So when the Rockets called about the No. 38 pick -- which the Rockets had just traded to Minnesota less than two hours earlier -- Kahn sold it right back to them for $1.5 million.
Flynn flunked his physical in Houston for a reason the Wolves did not previously disclose. This caused a dustup because the Wolves proceeded to make four subsequent deals that all threatened to get blown up if the Flynn deal was voided.
To end the mess, the Wolves gave the Rockets another future second-round pick that ended up becoming the rights to Will Barton, who right now is a Most Improved Player candidate for the Denver Nuggets.
Then it turned out Ngombo was five years older than the Wolves thought he was, meaning he was ineligible to be drafted. After considering options for a few days, the league let the pick stand, but the Wolves no longer wanted him as a prospect.

Until 3rd quarter, I thought 76ers were gonna blow out the Bulls. LoL
Looks like Butler has this one under control now.
It's about time someone scores 50+ points. I have a feeling it'll be somebody random not high profile scorer.
Almost yet not quite. Butler may not be a high profile scorer but a superstar with great scoring ability.
Fri Jan 15, 2016 1:16 pm
Shouldn't have taken that effort, but a win's a win, I'll take it. Awesome game for Butler...I really hope he leapfrogs Irving to start for the East. As long as the coaches have enough sense to select him as a reserve, I guess.
Fourth Bull to score 50+, third to score 53+, and he joins Michael Jordan as the only player in the last 30 seasons with at least 50 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in a road game.

Hahahaha. Chalmers FTW! You can't even put Drummond on the floor in crunch time and yet we're supposed to call him a great basketball player! Wow sad times.
Fri Jan 15, 2016 3:37 pm
Awesome shot. Is it just me or did he gain some weight? Fat, not muscle.
Fri Jan 15, 2016 3:51 pm
I am not entirely sure if he gained weight but it could be the color of jersey.
Wearing darker colored clothe makes you look less fat. I gradually started wearing black more as I got older and fat. Lol

He's off the MIami Cheat HGH diet.
Fri Jan 15, 2016 5:39 pm

My bad, should have been more considerate towards salty Pistons fans for the night.

A fine example of how out-of-control finishes can be just as spectacular as final plays that are run to perfection. Great shot on the recovery.

Not sure what you are expecting. Bulls came in playing like garbage and missing 2 starters. Philly had 3 games rest prior to this game

Good times

True, but they are still the four win 76ers. I guess I was setting the bar for the Bulls performance a little higher than that, even with two starters out. Anyway, they pulled themselves together, and avoided picking up another embarrassing loss. As you said, good times. Could be better.

Hassan Whiteside well before regulation has triple double with 11 blocks. What a beast.
