issues with practice jerseys

I've recently been trying to add some practice jerseys into 2004, and i've come across a couple of hassles

1. when i try and add a customart practice jersey, with the official patch installed, the game wither crashes, or dosent recognize the jerseys

2. when i try and add the jerseys as team practice jerseys, is it possible to have more than the home and away jersey? When i add the extra lines into teamgear.dbf, and add the buni's into customart, I'm given the option ingame to select the jersey, but all i get is th emissing texture error

I was specifically trying to add the king james, and penny hardaway practice jerseys
