I'm guessing it would be like 1 quarter of a game or something like that.

highly doubt a demo would involve the dunk contest. most likely it will be 2 teams in a regular game with a preset time limit, maybe 5 min quarters or something.

there was a demo for Live 2003 ~

If EA really provide us a demo this year.

I think it will at least include the dunk contest and a short exhibition game.

Because I think the dunk contest is the highlight feature this year, they will let us taste a bit of it as well as 5 on 5 gameplay.

if there will be a demo this year.....

why would they release the dunk contest now? They want it to be a surprise when you buy it. People are going to buy it so they can see what the dunk contest is like.

there are different kinds of customers.

for many of us here, we will buy it anyway.

We have watched serveral videos, we read many reviews of it, and we are lucky that the summits expresses their feelling and comments on it.

for some guys who are not knowing much of the game,
the NEW dunk contest should be one of the factors to attract them to buy the game.

IMO, why would EA release a demo of 2003 BEFORE the game gone gold,
it's because the NEW freestyle controlling system introduced that year.

Why didn't they release a demo last year, it's because there not a BIG
NEW feature different than the previous one.

By the way, I really want to taste it a bit even though the demo might comes out only a week before release. :P

Yeah, your logic makes sense.

I guess there could be a DEMO with the dunk contest, but it would be only one player, w/o possibility to play against a friend or against the CPU, and w/o the possibility to select which player to use. Maybe there will be a default player like J richardson and that's it.

I'm not sure though. It would be the first demo ever to feature 2 game modes (dunk contest and 5 on 5).

Sounds like something else for me to try and find out. ;)

I'm also guessing a demo won't include the dunk contest, as has already been suggested it will likely feature restricted exhibition play (one half with five minute quarters featuring the Pistons and Lakers) should one be released.
