Rick Fox looks good, but to much hair on his sides.

Here's another preview of Jameer Nelson.

Too dark. Try matching the skintone with the pic. Nice details though. (Y)

Fri Aug 20, 2004 6:48 am

yeah he's WAY to dark but if you lighten him it'll be great

Fri Aug 20, 2004 7:10 am

After over four months of tweaking bhed's and headshapes, I've given my last kick at the can at Jameer Nelson. In total I've done about 12 bhed's and 17 versions of headshape. Now all I have to do is his tatoos. If anyone has already done them and is willing to share, I'd really appreciate it. The headshape I began with for this version about a month ago was from King James' original Nelson, so thank you to him.

Yeah, great Nelson. Maybe you have to improve the neck a bit, but it's your decission...

Sun Aug 22, 2004 6:07 pm

I don't know about the neck. It doesn't look to good ingame, but in any pic I find of him, his neck is really thick and is just as wide as his head.

Sun Aug 22, 2004 6:35 pm

Kevin, the shape of the neck is more than great, but originally I meant the textures...

left side of the mouth looks blurry, but nice one :P

That Jameer Nelson will only be awesome if you have his tattoo's, its not him without his tattoo's....

Mon Aug 23, 2004 1:40 pm

Some more very small adjusments based on your feedback.

I've also started the bskn, but I need some pics of his tats on his forearms. Anyone who has pics please send them to me.

its bit blurry, but this was the best i could find
i really love your rookie update... :D
lookin forward for that nelson, if u got time, any plan for bassy telfair ? :o

Mon Aug 23, 2004 2:35 pm

I've seen everything on getty, and there are no clear pics of those tats. If i use whats there, it will be terribly blurry and fairly abstract. If I can find a good pic of telfair, I'll give him a try.

Tue Aug 24, 2004 11:26 am

I will release Jameer in the next few days, and the forearm tats will be blurry, sorry. I will work with what I have.
I will also do a Sebastian Telfair patch and it will probably be my last for '04. I will put together a rookie patch of the ones I have done.

I don't get much feedback on my patches, and when I do, it's always the same, loyal guys who always have and who I always support. It just bugs me sometimes when every other patcher (both good & bad, experienced or inexperienced) gets a lot of quality feedback, while my thread goes unnoticed for weeks at a time. I don't want to sound cocky or conceited, its just judging from download totals on both my patch hosts, I know that people enjoy my patches.

So thank you to Mikki, King James, Logan, T_Mac, Tricky D, ThisIzAJackMove, Slam Harder and John WB for your comments over the past few months. Without you, I wouldn't have had any posts in my threads here and at dotorg.

dont leave man...it was just a beginning for your good patches...
no, i should thank you for wasting your time for contributing to the communty...hope you dont leave

Tue Aug 24, 2004 3:31 pm

i think... the process of working on a patch... if you enjoy it, then it's already a reward in itself.. seeing something you've done ingame.... the feeling is just awesome :D and... you also have the luxury of knowing people out there are downloading your patches....

anyways, enough babbling from me... hope you'll stick around (Y)

Yeah, and even though people aren't responding to your threads I know that they like it. You've got lots of fans at the 4th-Quarter TagBoard. :D

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking then. Those were all of my oldest patches. It was only after I released my ten pack that someone other than T-Mac actually like my patches  .

Anyways, I am not going to leave right away. I have a shitload more patches that I've had on my computer for a while now, just never finished them. They'll probably be released in the next few weeks, then I'll be done for '04.
The pack will probably include: Alvin Williams, Andris Beidrins, Alexander Pavlovic, Antoine Walker, Boris Diaw, Brian Skinner, Chris Bosh, Caron Butler, Corey Maggette, Dan Dickau, Desmon Penigar, Devin Harris, Doug Christie, Elton Brand, Emeka and Okafor  , Eric Snow, Erick Dampier, Francisco Elson, Gerald Wallace, J.R. Bremer, Jake Voskul, Jalen Rose, Jermaine O'Neal, Jerome Willaims, Josh Howard, Kareem Rush, Kirk Hinrich, Loren Woods, Luke Walton, Macjie Lampe, Michael Olowokandi, Candian National team member Michael Meeks, Reece Gaines, Roger Mason, Ronald Dupree, Sebastian Telfair, Steve Nash, Mamadou N'Dyaiye, Eddy Curry and Zarko Cabarkapa.

I won't change them after the release, and trust me, some of them are not to the highest of quality. Some are from months and months ago and, well, suck. I'm fixing them up now best I can, but I'm not going for perfection with these ones. But it will still be a sweet, little 42-pack, eh? (Oh, and I'm allowed to say "eh," cuz I'm Canadian. I won't have a problem with Americans saying "ruf" instead of "roof, even though it pisses me off.)

I don't remember, but who did this great Aintoine Walker some days ago (the completely bald one)? And Kevin, believe me, you are one of the patchers that I'm expecting the best quaility of, cuz you already convinced me with that Stephen Jackson, an, of course, the other patches. Your detail is great, and in game they look real! :D

Can't wait. Take your time so they'll turn out as good as the rest of your patches.

Thu Aug 26, 2004 6:35 pm

Here's the absolute final version of Jameer Nelson. It's finished, I will never touch it again. I finished the tattoos on his forearms and they don't look as bad as I thought they might. The tats aren't perfectly placed, but they're good enough for me, considering I've never done tats before.

It will be released probably tomorrow, at http://4th-quarter.net/, as always.

The 42-pack will be released in a few weeks, as I said earlier, and I can't be any more specific. And although you see all those names now, don't get your hopes up. Although I am taking one last attempt at them, it migh not be enough. (Particularly Chris Bosh, the unpatchable).

Thu Aug 26, 2004 6:47 pm

The final version is aight man , good work with the tattoos too...
Can't wait for the 42 pack ! (True, Bosh is hard ! lol)
