Talk about NBA Live 16 here.
Thu Aug 13, 2015 11:29 pm

Online team play returns in NBA Live 16 with LIVE Pro-Am, which is comprised of Summer Circuit and LIVE Run. LIVE Run is the traditional multiplayer online team play mode, where you and nine other gamers can jump into a game; Summer Circuit is an online user-vs-CPU mode, in which you and up to four other gamers can take on different squads of NBA players.
All games are pick-up style, using your Rising Star player, with minimal rules and a first-to-21 win condition. Games take place on a variety of real courts from across the USA and Canada, including the HoopDome in Toronto and Rucker Park in New York.
There's a bunch of articles out on the official site today, so I'll link them up here:

I like it. Competition between Live and 2K can be very good for us consumers.

A lot of information released today best described as a carpet bombing I think this more than makes up for the lack of GamesCom news

Live and 2K with Pro-Am:

The perils of picking a common name. At least they're each doing their own thing with it.

I personally don't care for these modes.
So I'm gonna say I like their player faces. Looks really good.

Not sure how I feel about Summer Circuit, though. Usually when I play with friends online, the last thing I wanna do is play against the CPU. I don't think anyone's gonna be playing that mode after a few weeks honestly.

Is it because you're not an online gamer? Because I'm traditionally not an online gamer, but having gotten hands-on time with them at the community event back in July, I found myself really enjoying them. And even though I'll always love the single player modes, I can see myself getting online and getting involved with Summer Circuit and LIVE Run.

I'm still waiting for my article to get approval (in case I've mentioned something that I don't have the green light to, just yet), but since it has been mentioned in the interview over on OS...they will be adding new content through the season, including courts and challenges and such. I think that'll keep things fresh. There's a lot of stuff to unlock.
Of course, that's why there's the two modes; if you don't like the idea of taking on the CPU and just the CPU, there's LIVE Run.

This is how Pro Am is suppose to be to what 2K is doing with their Pro Am. Pros (us) vs Amateurs(NBA players) thats What Pro Am is. We are going to play against actual NBA players in this. Live made my day today

Not an online gamer and not a MyPlayer type gamer. I've been turned off by single player experiences from 2k's MyPlayer stuff over the years. People seem to really enjoy it, but to me it's always been a repetitive mode bugged with terrible teammate AI that makes you pull your hair out sometimes.
I'll always be a 5 on 5 sim, association mode player.
I won't get to play Live regardless, because I don't own the consoles.

Glad they're bringing back Live Run but I liked how in Live 10 it was with nba players, not created players.
The use of the "pro-am" name made me assume that nba players were in the mix too since you see them playing in pro-am leagues all the time

They are; you face NBA players in Summer Circuit.

Ah ok, I didn't gather that from the info, but I'd still prefer to play as an nba player

Technically that sentence describes the Live 10 version of Live Run, which obviously doesn't have created players up against NBA players.

There was also this:

Anyway, hopefully I've been a bit clearer in my hands-on impressions. Head on over to that thread if you've got any follow-up questions.

Absolutely pumped for this mode! The way PRO-AM supposed to be! Wish they had 5 min qtr play as an option though, possibly in private match setup?
Can't wait for the demo to drop 15th! Hoping Playstation Store AUS it's there!!!

Not in Pro-Am. All games are to 21.

Live Run perhaps?

LIVE Run is part of Pro-Am.

Pro-Am in NBA Live 16 consists of two modes, Summer Circuit and LIVE Run, with Summer Circuit being the user-vs-CPU online mode, with up to five users, and LIVE Run being the traditional user-vs-user online mode, with up to ten users. They both use the same courts, the same rules, and your Rising Star player, with games to 21.
