[-TRICKY's-] Practice Gear Update (11 TEAMS -RELEASED-)

After a long break of patching (if you can even call it like that), I did something new that all of you will like, I think. I only did it for three teams (home and away), but will do three teams a day from now if you like the update. But, again, I need a host. What’s new (please read info at the bottom under the line):

PRACTICE GEAR

New textures and colors, and completely different look. Sponsored by NBA’s most important sponsor, Reebok. The jerseys are colored by the team’s colors, of course.

1. Front of the jersey: Team Logo, “Basketball” and NBA Logo

PROBLEMS: No problems.


SOCKS:

PROBLEMS: I don’t know how to include them into people’s files. I have an xxxxxxx_acc.fsh file with colored socks in it, but if it already exists for a player (with skin etc.), it will replace the old one, and that shouldn’t be. I also have them as xxx.bmp files.


SHOES:

Jersey textures by: Tcrock/MajorPain. I just fixed it for having it in practice shape, so mine is different from his.

Shoes by: Andres. Again, I fixed a bit and added some details, sharpened it and did all the colors. But big credits to Andres who again did a perfect job, as we got used to it. You really helped me out, Andy!

For the previews I took the Charlotte Bobcats, but, of course, it will be available for each team, and Aaron McKie, because of his kind face. This patch will show up the best if you have maximum graphics. But here’s my biggest problem (again): I don’t have an own page on the net, and need somebody’s help with hosting and helping me out.

I only finished three teams (complete with socks and shoes), and nevertheless I have to do it in many parts, otherwise it’s getting too big for downloading. It will be aproximately 60 jerseys (home and away altogether). So the first part is ready for hosting, the readme I will post on this thread. If you guys like it and somebody can host, I will do three teams a day, so that everything should be complete in two weeks. And please help me with my little problems.

I think the texture is very realistic. Tcrock made it!

I don't like the texture much either, it looks too simple. It's okay I guess, you should have used Jowe's modified EA, or pontiacsilverdome's or someones...

I think the texture is much better than Jowe's modified, maybe the previews are just dismissed. It should look simple, because when you wear a jersey, you don't have everything full with folds, it looks simple as well.

And the main point of this thread is not the texture, but the update. And I suppose I would also get Jowe's real one, cuz this update ist important, I think.

on the contrary man, great texture (mostly Tcrock should get props for that) and just release it, there was one guy who said he could host stuff, and figure out how big the patch will be and whether it is a hostable file like if it was too big a file no one would really host it

1. I still need a host. It will be 800KB per three team pack, means altogether 24MB, more or less. I can also take more hosts if more people can host this patch. And I also want to release it in three teams packs, but also more teams are possible in a pack.

2. Can somebody help me considering following issues, with the installation?

1. Colors are only bright for teams who have bright colors, just go to NBA Photo Store, and there you will see, that Atlanta's colors are very bright. Charlotte's colors are bright, as well.

2. They are defintely not oversharpened, the previews are just dismissed.

3. The logos and writing are not blury, again, the previews are dismissed.

4. It took me a lot of time to find a base for all of what I'm doing here. I did my best, in order to bring up a fresh patch. And you are, I think, almost the only one, who thinks like that.

If your whole package is under 25MB, you can use www.freepgs.com. It's really good cause it allows hotlinking you got unlimited bandwith, and it's free.
This would probably be a good nominee for the patching competition at dot org.

yeah they are majorpains 03 texture just sleeves modified. u better still give credit for them.

@frAnNn & ][]]RAGON: The texture, as already said, I got from Tcrock, and don't know from who he has got them. I once asked for a jersey texture in a thread, and Tcrock replied and gave me a texture, that's it. All the colors and design I made by myself.

i also got that texture. and i got it from majorpain's website, which is down now.
if i were you, you should make sure who really made those jersey textures.

in my opinion, i think shoes and colored socks are not really needed for the practice jerseys. because not ALL NBA players wear Reebok shoes even if they are wearing Reebok sponsored jerseys.

You are right, frAnNn, but I did the socks and shoes only for players, who wear Reebok shoes, e.g. Pedja, Yao, A.I., The Baron...
