Josh Smith has agreed to play for the Los Angeles Clippers, according to ESPN and multiple reports.
ESPN's Chris Broussard reports it is a one-year deal. A source told Broussard that Smith "chose winning and a defined role over money."

Yeah, good luck with that pairing, Doc.

Well, Spencer Hawes looked like a great signing last year too. We'll have to wait and see on this one.

Just when I thought he'll be back.

this could be great for the clips, winning tends to keep the crazy in check. i think its good if he understands his role. if doc uses these guys right this could be a dangerous team

If it doesn't work out there is plenty of trade bait.

I actually think the Clips running game will really suit Josh Smith's game a lot and he's a good passer himself too.
I just wouldn't play him with Lance much, that could be a bad match

Putting all snark aside, I do actually agree. Smith takes some ill-advised shots, and his inefficiency and bad decisions can obviously be a liability, but he's also still very athletic and does have legitimate talent both offensively and defensively. In a system where his flaws can be minimised and strengths properly utilised, on a team where winning and leadership can keep him in check as you said, it can certainly work out.

Ha, just realized that. It's gonna get boring in LA soon

I don't get why he signed with LA for "winning" purposes. If I was him, I'd go and ride Harden rather than that whiny son of a bish.

Is that Howard?
They are good friends, so there's no problem with that.
