Sources say that some Clippers players have been in contact in recent days as well with Jordan, who informed both teams of his decision last Friday and then flew to his offseason home in Houston.

Could it be CP3?

Sources told ESPN's Chris Broussard that Jordan has told people close to him since picking Dallas that he's still "torn" and "unsure" about his choice.

The Clippers are reportedly lobbying DeAndre Jordan to reverse his decision to join Dallas, and stay in Los Angeles.
Jordan has only verbally committed to signing with Dallas, and while teams traditionally don't talk to free agents once they've made their decision, the Clippers are desperate to retain Jordan and are hopeful to get a final meeting with him on Wednesday. Jordan is reportedly still "torn" and "unsure" despite verbally committing to Dallas, and Rivers is reportedly going to offer him that larger role in the offense that he desires, in addition to hiring a big man coach to help his development. Thursday will be the first day that free agents can officially sign their name to a contract, and it'll be very interesting to see how this one plays out.

That would totally fuck up Mavericks. Either way, I like what is going on.

Which part? Doc begging DJ back like a GF who just got dumped, or the possibility of Mark Cuban getting f'ed over?

Exactly. Doc getting dumped like a bitch or Cuban getting slapped like never seen before. What better story line is there even in hollywood these days?

This is good to hear. It's possible that DJ was just trying to shake the Clips organization up. I don't see why he would want to leave. The Mavs have pretty much no chance at a championship run unless DJ turns into Shaq, Hakeem, Abdul-Jabaar, and Duncan all at the same time in one season, and that's not going to happen.

I think the Clipper players were assuming he was going to re-sign, and that might be why they didn't attend any recruiting meetings. But now they are trying to make amends.

For the sake of watching an interesting season, I hope DJ resigns. His talented wouldn't help that Mavericks team win a championship, just as Pdub said. But add DJ to the clip's improved roster ( still hoping Lance S will turn his career around) and the western conference gets even tighter. Just what I wanted to see.

LOL! This off season has been pretty damn interesting so far. Chris Paul will probably high five the shit out of him from now on.

Rivers, Paul, Griffin, Pierce and Reddick heading to Houston to persuade him to return to the Clippers.

Just shouldn't have verbally committed if he wasn't sure.

I don't for the record, that's some Carlos Boozer Cleveland/Utah shit. (Which was worse.)

Still funny as shit. Lakers should get another meeting with Aldridge. Kobe pass the frigging ball, damn.

Bleacher report be like : " Deandre Jordan, the man who changed the game of free agency". And then they throw a pool at us with Lakers' chances of turning Aldridge around. C'mon DJ, the audience wants you to take the wrong step

 LA would be nuts to reconsider. He's 30, what business does he have on a rebuilding team.

Could this possibly affect the Hibbert deal? Indiana opts for a sign and trade with the Mavs involving Ellis/Hibbert?

Stop fucking around DJ, think of Chandlers pretty eyes.

The Clippers are stalling in their meeting with DeAndre Jordan to delay his meeting with Mark Cuban, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.com.
DeAndre reportedly has promised a meeting with the Mavs, so we'll see how this goes. It sounds like this decision could come today. Additionally, there are reports of DeAndre leaning to going back to the Clippers, but it's still a very murky situation.

Dirk and Cuban are going to be heartbroken. They were so close to signing one of the best centers.

I still can't believe how Doc and Clippers came back into a discussion out of nowhere.

What the hell? If he comes back to the Clippers, Cuban could go beast mode with the NBA Officials.

It's not the league's fault if a player goes back on a verbal commitment. While a verbal commitment is "only worth the paper it's written on" as far as being legally binding, it's on the individual to hold true to their word...though you could always argue that there are extenuating circumstances.

For shame. The league was trying to prevent tampering in the first place by having the free agency start July then contracts become official days later

It's one thing for a team to strike out on the big fish, be used as leverage for bigger contracts. This is total bullshit. Feel bad for this to happen to any organization

Not me. This happens in real life all the time. One of my friend who was hired by this one company and was supposed to start working for them in couple weeks. Too bad for them in the meantime he was offered a better salary plus better work environment. He chose the latter and he's now one of the top guys in the company while the first company downsized big time and fired about 200 employees shortly after. Highly likely he'd have been screwed. So it's whatever. That's how things work in real life. Even if you agree to sell someone your house, you know for sure yourself that it's not a done deal until you sign the paper and every check up process is completed to both parties' liking. Same here. The Mavs should have signed him but obviously couldn't, so it's a bitch. But I also like DeAndre Jordumb less for this incident. He went back on his words and it sucks for whatever the reason.

I'm enjoying this. Nearly all updates on NBA today revolves around DeAndre Jordan. This afternoon, it was said to be 50/50, now it's reported that Clippers have better shot than the Mavericks. LoL
