I saw Hezonja bury a clutch 3 to win it. Payton didn't pass him the ball much. I wanted to see what he could do. Watched Frank Kaminsky for a couple minutes. Not bad, has a good skill set for today's NBA

How about Myles Turner (20pts, 8 rebs, 3 blks) and Winslow, though? Both played great. Shame Turner's Pacers fell short against Winslow's Heat.

The Pacers were awful apart from Turner who looked great, I was very impressed with Big Frank game, tho not surprised he played well I think he is a very solid player.

I'm actually looking forward to Russell. All of the highlights I've seen dedicated to him are all Nash-like passes. Seems like a point guard rather than a shooting guard.

Yeah, I figured. What about Clarkson and Lin? Pretty sure Clarkson can slide in to that shooting guard position.

It is said that Russell has potential to shoot 60 TS% if panned out as expected, based on his college stats. That's the type of number modern day elite play makers like Harden and Curry post. If that happens, Okafor won't be missed.

Kaminsky goes 2-3 from 3PT, not bad for a Center. Meanwhile, Johnson goes off for 24 points in 10-14 shooting.

kaminsky reminds me of troy murphy.

definitely, would love to see both play at an NBA pace against NBA bigs. It still remains to be seen whether Randle can truly flourish against height in the NBA.

Ah, good comparison. I've been trying to think of a 3 point shooting big man. But I'd say Kaminsky has great passing skills like Vlade

Ainge offered 4 first round picks for Kaminsky. Jordumb didn't bite it. I wonder how he'll pan out to be.

Winslow as expected is playing solid and nothing spectacular. I don't think he's going to be a good player from the first year. Some hyped him up as top 5 but I think he fell where he was supposed to.

Ainge wanted the pick to get Winslow, not Frank.

I guess it was Jordan that wanted Kaminsky badly, passing on 4 first round picks.

I wonder if Riely would have gone for it if he was offered the same for Winslow.

From what I read on Reddit and other highly reputable sites, Heat were targeting him and weren't going to trade him away for anything the Celtics could offer.

Winslow isn't good. I thought he had a low ceiling. Couldn't understand the hype though he could turn out to be solid, there just wasn't a star or superstar talent imho. Detroit's brand new SF is looking better.

Kevin wrote:Okafor gets 20 and 9 in his first game

meh, he missed all free throws and had lousy turnovers, that last one was especially costly. I wonder how he will fare against NBA level bigs. But nonetheless, it was more than a passable first pro debut game imo. 20-10 is definitely there.

So much hype on Randle. Can't wait to see a much improved version of him play finally. The year off definitely helped as he was able to sit and watch and learn just like Blake Griffin

I'm also excited to see the new Lakers era duo, Randle and Russell. Randle was projected to be a #1 pick at one point in his college year. Let's see what the hype was about. Also Russell gets his praises for having a potential to be an above .600 TS% player, similar to Harden and Curry.

But ofc, historically even top 3 picks are coin flips. Half the chance they'll not turn out to be who they are supposed to be.

Randle lost 15 pounds the whole season. Embiid should take notes.
