GnG NBA Jam Mod V6 out now! **refinements made to settings**

Well i've already added some "What If" teams for version 4

added:
93 Jordan Trail Blazers
93 Jordan-less Bulls (they draft barkley 3rd, and draft reggie miller instead of horace grant in 87)

changed:
94 C-Webb Magic to 95 C-Webb Magic (so that webber can have a year to become good enough that the team is fun to play with)
95 Drexler Supersonics to 95 Pip/Drexler Supersonics (a combination of pippen staying with seattle through the years and drexler getting picked up by them in 95)

also added :
08 Big Spain Grizzlies
ok, this one is just cause i'm a fan. in Memphis' short history as a team, there's been virtually no chance for a "what if" team, so this one would have NEVER happened, but still technically possible and is sorta a dream team of mine. rudy gay is traded for aldridge and some picks, memphis pick up jose calderon back in 2005 and thus pick noah instead of conley in the 07 draft, the earlier picks are traded plus a shooting guard for rudy fernandez and we draft marc gasol in round 2, instead of later trading for him and those other guys. so plus navarro and pau, this team is half spanish and loaded with bigs. hence "Big Spain" which also happens to be marc's nickname. also it is assumed in this that marc and fernandez come straight over from europe and dont wait til 08-09 season.

you don't have to play with them if you don't like it, but can i atleast get some for how much thought i put into it? lol. these teams will be released in V4 or i can do a V3.1 and release them later today. what do you guys want?

soon to come! nba jam association/season roster. will be a combination of 1994 players (96 for both canadian teams) and 2015 players; 6 of each on each team. 94 hornets will be split between the 2015 hornets and pelicans, with about 5 to nola and 3 to charlotte, to keep those teams from being shitty.

did not end up being nearly as precise of a process. more like 3-6 1994 players on each and 9-12 2015 players. with the majority of the 94 hornets going to 2015 charlotte, because i gave the pelicans Alonzo Mourning.

This roster does work with both Season and Association, but dont ask me what draft class to use. lol. I would suggest starting with the 96 draft class and then 97, 98, and so on. if you do that, you should never have any doubles of people in your league. you could also stagger them: 1996, 2016, 1997, 2017, 1998, 2018, and then end with 1999. personally, i did a fantasy draft with my association and am letting it auto generate the draft classes. it's up to you guys. if you dont do a fantasy draft, be sure to get some FAs as soon as the season starts. there were plenty of decent 94 players that didnt make it onto a team, cause i was being lazy and didnt make it completely 50/50

and all 29 other 2015 teams as created teams for you to swap in your team for the grizzlies when creating your season mode. also not sure if anyone else actually wants this but if i can get it to work, it will be released.

regardless of whether i finish this update before or after the draft, i still plan to update the 2015 rosters with some of the first round picks that are good enough to be among the 10 players per team.

so i failed to do any of this except add the jammers and cheats to association roster. lol. i can still make mycareer play i'm just waiting on vlad to send me a new key for my RED MC upgrade, and it might be possible in the future to add the 29 challenge teams just to the association roster as playable to make that roster a bit more fun to play, but i dont think i have it in me to take the time to make them usable in season mode. just too much damn work. who knows. maybe i'll figure out a quick way to do it with the myfriend panel. i'll keep you guys updated on this. in the meantime, V5 will come out once i can get mycareer play working.

hahaha. i dont seem to understand his request. that team sucked and its not like there's a specific superstar player he'd want from it that there isnt already a better version of on that better team. lol.

plus i dont wanna add anything past 09 season cause those additional teams are just supposed to be just 00-09 decade with specific focus on 03. if i start straying too much out of that, my roster just becomes UBR. it's already dangerously close to just being a base roster by even having anything other than 93-95 and 15

so i have about 30 downloads, so if 3 people tell me they want it, i'll do it:
i spent significant time creating a formula that shrinks the players down to average human height, but keeps the taller ones at average basketball height. it also causes anyone of average height normally to tend more toward the short end or tall end, thus making EVERYONE shorter, but causing an over-exaggerated height difference between the short ones and tall ones. i basically did this cause Bigh0rt's Jam mod had similar features and i also wanted to somewhat mimic the comical height difference in some of the players on NBA Jam. I have another height-oriented version that locks all players into 3 different heights like what seems to be the case in the original game. these are for just the Jam roster, not the association, and will be released along with the normal Jam roster. if i get 3 people to tell me they want one of these two, i'll release it. otherwise it's pointless like my gut tells me, and i'm gonna delete it.

I'm sad to say this will be the last version of the GnG NBA Jam expansion roster for UBR. Stuff didn't quite pan out when working on version 5 and I've decided to put the roster to bed instead of constantly updating the 2015 teams without really adding much else. This started as just something I wished someone would do a couple months ago and then I got RED MC and made it myself for myself. In releasing it, I had very low expectations, but have been pleasantly surprised to find that other people were wanting something like this as well. Thank you all so much for the feedback and the downloads. This might get a revisit some day when I'm more experienced and can do more with it, but for now, it's goodbye to this mod.

thanks. it was just that i didnt know where else to go with it when i failed to make some of the things work that i was trying to implement. and tbh, i didnt think they were that great of ideas anyways. i was definitely running dry. atleast i can say im very pleased with how the settings turned out and i feel like whenever someone wants alittle NBA Jam action they're gonna boot it up with whatever roster they want. that's enough to leave me satisfied. i'm keeping my UBR files on backup though, cause i am rather proud of my roster aswell.

Resurrection time. so i recently read this article http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2538285-nba-jam-2015-brs-modern-rosters-for-all-30-teams and i was gifted with inspiration from Mr. Favale to add to this roster once again. the main inspiration came from his idea for various cheat codes for the teams, so ive decided to update the roster somewhat (kind of a botched update. i'll only be adding the top rooks and moving the biggest trades and FA's, with a full update to come in the future) and will be adding to the roster some cheat teams for various 2015 squads. here's what teams will be added to the roster and what their specialties will be:

Hawks with a Kyle Korver that has 99 rating in all shots (this will replace the 86 Hawks)
(86 celtics will now be considered a cheat team)
Bulls with a super Derrick Rose
Cleveland with a starting 5 of Lebrons from various years (rookie lebron, his last year in cleveland the first time, first championship, 2016, and old future aged lebron)
Dallas with multiple free agents that they've whiffed on acquiring over the years
(89-90 Pistons will now be considered a cheat team)
Warriors with 99 3pt rating for Curry and Thompson
Rockets with 99 ratings from inside the arc for the entire starting 5
Pacers where George is moved to SF and Reggie Miller in his prime coming in at SG
(86 Lakers are now a cheat team)
Grizzlies with Pau at SF (in his prime) and Iverson at SG added to the team
Pelicans with an unstoppable "future" Anthony Davis
Spurs with Duncan, refusing to age, back in his prime, a ginobili that's ridiculously hard to block, and tony parker has 99 in speed, endurance, and agility.

feel free to chime in with more ideas, though i think this is the ones i'm going with.

SPLASHBROS: Curry, Thompson, Iguodala, and Green will all have 99 3pt ratings
FORTWO!: Rockets starting 5 will have 99 ratings on all shots inside the arc
MILLERTIME: Reggie Miller will join the 2015 Pacers
PRIMETIMEMAGIC: 86 Lakers
WHOOPTHATTRICK: Grizzlies will have Pau Gasol in his prime + Allen Iverson from 2009 when he briefly joined them for only 2 months
THEBROW: Anthony Davis will advance a few years into his prime at 99 overall
IMMORTALTIMDUNCAN: Duncan will age backwards to 2003, Ginobili will be even harder to block, and Parker will become the fastest man alive.

if the users of this mod could kindly point out to me any trades or free agent signings that need to be updated in this roster, i'll be sure to get them completed in the near future. I only did the major ones so i could get v5 out and get this mod back up and running.

got a settings update coming soon for the first time since i released this mod with a few more 2016 roster moves that i neglected to make. + more cheat code teams:
OKC where gary payton and shawn kemp steal dion waiters and steven adams jerseys and take their places in the lineup.
Nets with an overpowered, mystical Dr. J on the team.
Clippers have problems with flip-flop Deandre and trade him MID-SEASON for '94 Dominique Wilkins who grants every player on the team obscene dunking abilities.

expect v6 out sometime in the next 24 hours

logged several hours playing NBA Jam and 2k with these sliders back-to-back-to-back and made some major refinements to the gameplay. also made some more roster corrections and created 3 new "cheat codes":
NIQUE: the clippers trade deandre away in the middle of the sesason for '94 Dominique Wilkins and the whole team magically has crazy dunking powers
THEDOCTORISIN: play as the nets with a mysteriously overpowered Dr. J
HERECOMESTHEBOOM: Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp steal Dion Waiters and Steven Adams' identities and join up with Westbrook, Durantula, and Serge.

thanks, man. probably. hoping to come up with a "cheat" for all 30 teams, but i'll have to come up with some more ideas. if you have any, sling them my way. the what if's were mostly just for 93-10, but i'm considering expanding that to 93-15. it remains to be seen. either way, im focusing on updating the 15 squads and adding more "cheats" atm, so it'd be a later update if i do decide to add it.
