Van Gundy says Pistons not optimistic about keeping MonroeStan Van Gundy concedes the Detroit Pistons are ''not entirely optimistic'' about bringing Greg Monroe back this offseason.
Van Gundy, Detroit's coach and team president, says the door isn't closed, but Monroe can test the open market this offseason as an unrestricted free agent.
The Pistons traded for forward Ersan Ilyasova earlier this month in a move that appeared to give them a potential replacement, but Van Gundy has not publicly ruled out the possibility of the 6-foot-11 Monroe returning.
So...Lakers or Knicks?
