As Butler spends time in Los Angeles this summer, a stretch that’s included an overseas “Entourage” promotional jaunt with producer Mark Wahlberg, Butler’s intrigue with signing a potential Los Angeles Lakers offer sheet has increased, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Source.

Bulls will probably match but still good to know there is interest.

On another note...Tom T could sit out this season and be brought in after Scott's term is up.

On the flip side, kind of disheartening for me as a Bulls fan to hear that he has interest in going elsewhere. I'm pretty confident the Bulls will match, though.

Like you said, they'll probably match. Now you know how I felt when Pau left.

Did help landing the 2nd pick and kept team out of that middle ground of just peeking in to the playoffs and not making it and not having a pick to show for it either.

Probably would be good for Okafor or KAT so they can play heavy minutes to develop their game.

why did they keep Sacre in the first place? Might as well drop him and look for another role player big man.

Yeah he proved that he is not worth $9 million this last year. It was only a matter of time before they declined that option.

I'm glad they kept Sacre. Decent backup, good energy player for cheap.

I'm hoping all this Okafor love is just reverse psychology to get the Minnesota to take him so we get Towns. Then maybe signing Jimmy Buckets to a huge 1 or 2 year deal to discourage Chicago from matching.

I think/hope Ed Davis would play bulk minutes along with Tarik Black ahead of Sacre. Leave Sacre be, he's an awesome cheerleader.

I think KAT to the Wolves is pretty much a lock, this move of declining the option on Hill (which we knew was coming when he signed the deal) hopefully means they're leaning towards Okafor. He's having his second workout with them today.

Not so fast, Lakey fans.

Seems like Mudiay had a second work out with the Lakers yesterday. Must have impressed them in the first one.

Then we'd have to fill in the PF/C position since Hill's getting kicked out. There are rumors though that the Lakers may trade Young and Hill for a lottery pick.

Can't trade Hill if they are declining his option. Second workout doesn't say much, Okafor had his second one as well.

I think/hope that letting Hill go is for Okafor but let's see. Should be an interesting draft.

It makes me sad knowing that Ed will probably cost too much for the Lakers to keep him. I dunno if they wanna pay him or randle to be a backup big man

I echo those sentiments Q, Davis is a hard worker and he's a presence in the middle on the defensive end. I really hope they can work something out with him and still have enough money left over for a semi-decent 3&D wing. My pick for that would ideally be Tobias Harris due to his experience in the league and his young age over Carroll.

Wishful thinking at its best I think.

Most likely. Doesn't mean much as you said but the Lakers had a solo work out with Okafor yesterday. All point to Okafor at the moment since KAT is getting praises that he's the next best big since Anthony Davis and Okafor seemed to do a good job hiding from the Wolves.

Shit, I love this hype on these bigs. More the smack fun when they don't turn out to be as great.

Kristaps Porzingis is silently getting attention from the Lakers. Lakers staff members said they are "amazed" after his workout with them.

There is talk they may risk the 2nd pick on him which is great for knicks fans meaning that either Okafor or Russell will slide to the 4th pick.

But realistically I don't expect this to happen, this could be the usual draft hype we have every year.

I would hope they don't, anyone being the "next Dirk" gets me a bit weary a la Bargnani. Hopefully this guy is the real deal and he's really that good, but let him be that good in a place like Philly.

Russell had his second workout with LA too, that makes Okafor/Mudiay and now Russell.

It's funny that for 10-15 years, people have been trying to find the "next Dirk" but this man is an all-time great. Easier said than done.

Kristaps Porzingis is whom I could never spell right, pretty soon I won't be able to spell most of players.

It's kinda annoying how he climbed up the ladder so quickly during offseason just for the work outs he's done. He was within Heat(10th)'s reach but now is out of question. Maybe this is for the better. I like how Justise Winslow has slipped out to bare top 10 in many mock draft, perhaps the Heat can steal a decent talent in this year's draft.

That said Porzinks won't be picked top 4. It's still locked to KAT/Okafor/Russell/Mudiay unless they've been scaring teams away.

Wade and/or his agent using "Wade has interest in LA" to squeeze money out of Riley. Yikes.

If it's the Clippers, I'd definitely approve but with Kobe, why would the Lakers want Wade? One beat up old guy isn't enuf?

Seems like Wade will troll lots of teams this off season. I hope one of them snatches him.
