1. Brandon Roy (2006-07 to 2010-11)

* Brandon Roy is just one of those guys you feel sorry for. Imagine the Blazers today if he was healthy. He was such a good offensive player in his prime that by now he could of developed his game to the point where his offensive game would be just a tad under the one Harden has.
Roy was also a pretty good distributor and rebounder, and in 08/09 he really went off. In all honesty, he wasn't even that far back from Kobe. He really wasn't. You could even make an argument Roy was as good as 08/09 Bryant. Kobe didn't play much defense then, much like Roy. Obviously the best 2 guard that year was Wade.
But just imagine how more richer the west would be if this man actually got to play out his prime. Him, Lillard and Aldridge would just be crazy to watch offensively.
2. Lamar Odom (1999-00 to 2012-13)

*This is a long span. His number were obviously better in his prime. Odom was the perfect bench player those championship Lakers team needed. With him they got scoring, rebounding and facilitating.
That's all coming from one bench guy. Odom had some good years even before LAL with MIA and LAC. Overall he has had a pretty consistent and good career so it's a shame his last few years ended the way they did.
At least Khloe is getting pretty hot.
3. Jermaine O'Neal (2000-01 to 2007-08)

* For the better part of the 2000s O'Neal was one of the premier 2nd tier power forwards in the NBA. He was a good defender and helped Indiana get as high as 5th,3rd,3rd in defense when in his prime.
Although not great, he was a solid player offensively. Perhaps slightly overrated. His offensive rating weren't great, neither were his TS percentages. You'd also expect a guy of his profile to have a
slightly higher Ws/48 rating.
4. Pete Maravich (1975-76 to 1978-79)

*Another basketball icon. Can we say he was a poor man's Allen Iverson before AI was AI? Loads of shots, inefficient, never won anything and was shaky at the defensive end. Clearly Iverson was better.
The funny thing is, during the period Maravich was the first option and the "best player" on his team, he never made the Playoffs. His teams never even won 40 games.
Who knows what path his career would've gone if he wasn't emotionally troubled and drank so much. He certainly was a flashy player and volume scorer, thus winning many fans in the process.
5. Kevin Johnson (1988-89 to 1999-00)

* He was one of the best offensive point guards of the three point era. The Suns finished 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 5th, 1st, 1st, 3rd, 7th, 6th from 1989 to 1997. If he didn't have all those injuries when the Suns
were amongst the NBA elite, maybe Barkley would've had his ring. KJ was also a solid defender, but nothing to gloat about.
His offense in the early 90s was amazing and should seriously be mentioned when talking about all-time great point guards. Elite scoring, elite passing, winning teams, highly efficient, and not a bad defender like his fellow Sun Steve Nash.
6. Carmelo Anthony (2011-12 to 2014-15)

*So he chose to take his money and thus cementing himself as a player who won't win a ring as the first option. Still doesn't change the fact that his offensive arsenal is elite level in the NBA. Not quite
Durant, but very deadly. He could probably be more efficient in another system, but I doubt the difference would be that big to make him the best scorer in the NBA.
Melo is also a good rebounder, something he doesn't get credit for. Obviously, he falls in love with his shot often instead of using his strength, quickness and footwork to get to the rim more, he isn't that
good of a defender and doesn't always give his full effort on the court, but no one can deny he is one of the biggest starts the NBA has had in the last few years and is likely to get votes in this topic.
The Bernard King comparison good and fair. But Bernard was a better scorer.
Other Notable Player Shoutout
Kelly Tripucka was a guy that in his prime could effectively score around the 20 point mark. Bingo Smith was a shot happy Cavs legend back in the 70's. Ramon Sessions recorded a 20-20 game while wearing it. JJ Reddick wore it in Orlando before really hitting it off in LAC. Toni Kukoc was one of the best 6xth man of the 90s and helped the Bulls win some titles. Joe Johnson is wearing it in Brooklyn while the team lets everyone down and becoming filthy rich in the process. Ersan Ilyasova still looks as he is just having fun on the court to me. He can play. Bobby Hurley fucked the Fab Five and has one of the coolest names ever. Next to Tariq Abdul-Wahad if course. Al Harrington wore it for a while on the end of his career. Ben Gordon was a shot happy Bull that really should've done better in his career. Dee Brown was a solid scorer but is remembered for pumping up his shoes. Terrell Brandon was a stud and along with Sam Cassell the most underrated point guard of those years. Andrea Bargnani is whatever you want him to be, just not very good. Kenny Anderson was my favourite player on NBA Live 2000. God knows why.
Rashard Lewis was a pretty good scorer in his SuperSonics days where he was part of a shooting/scoring tandem with Allen. They weren't very successful.
I refuse to call Tiny Archibald by his name, Nate, because he shares the name with a Gossip Girl character. As for him and the number 7, he wore it in the Twighlight Saga of his career, with everything Breaking Bad for him after the Achilles injury. He did win the Game of Thrones in 1981 with the Celtics, but even that couldn't bring him back to his Top Gear.
