The Milwaukee Bucks traded forward Ersan Ilyasova to the Detroit Pistons, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The acquisition of Ilyasova will give the Pistons a strong complement to center Andre Drummond, largely because of his ability to stretch out onto the perimeter and make jump shots.
The Pistons are preparing for the fact that they could well lose Greg Monroe as an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Detroit sent forward Caron Butler and Shawne Williams to Milwaukee in the trade. Those two players have non-guaranteed deals that will probably be waived, clearing significant salary cap space for the Bucks. Milwaukee could have as much as $22 million in cap space this summer.
Ilyasova, 28, averaged 11.5 points and 4.8 rebounds for the Bucks a year ago. At 6-foot-10, he has the ability to stretch out and make shots on the perimeter.
Ilyasova has $7.9 million owed to him in 2014-15, and a team option for $8.4 million in 2015-16.

Sounds like they're preparing for Munroe's departure.

It seems like Milwaukee will do something amazing this summer

Monroe to the knicks this summer then please...

Van Gundy making a bold move again. Josh Smith, Reggie Jackson, now Ilysova. I'd say great move. Ilysavoa is a capable player if able to remain healthy. High reward high risk which the type of moves Pistons should be takin on.

Agreed. Ilyasova could prove to be very helpful to Detroit with his shooting ability. He has a two year contract with 7.9 and 8.4 mil, which is probably a few millions cheaper than Monroe is
going to get payed this summer.

Good trade but Ilyasova is no Ra$hard Lewi$ that was the perfect PF for Stan the Man.

Ersan will fit in great with the Pistons playing that stretch 4 and giving Drummond the point to work in on his own.

Is SVG turning Andre into Dwight Howard?

I think his point was that you should leave a providing link towards the OP. You did not in fact write it.
He has to be hard towards someone sine his favourite team is falling apart faster than Val Kilmers career.

Yes that was my point, menopauss
Val Kilmers best work was in real genius. A close 2nd was the doors
Since the Bulls are out, watching the games have been great. No frustration anymore
I like this trade for the bucks. I hope Middleton gets resigned. Good core of him, Greek freak, MCw, and Parker.
I hope ghost face will find a consistent role in Detroit.
