2015 NBA Finals: Warriors vs Cavs

Postby Jackal on Thu May 28, 2015 2:09 pm

Way too lazy to make a poll, mods/admins can add one since its 6 am over here.

Two rookie coaches in the Finals since the NBA became the NBA should be an interesting 5/6 game series.

Good luck to the Warriors and hope they don't get knocked around too much more in the coming series with players diving for balls.

You should have Lamecock do it! You broke the hottest and most interesting streak in this boring year of NBA.

That said, I will go with GSW in 5. What LBJ can do, the Warriors can counter ez pz. One man team fails big.

Lamrock should've started this thread.

Warriors in 6 with Dellavedova RKO-ing Curry out of nowhere.

LeBron, the returning son of Akron Cleveland Ohio, will lead his Cavs to win this and it will rank up there with Kobe winning the Finals in game 7 vs the despicable Celtics, and the Bible as the ultimate feel good story in sports history.
When LeBron wins the 2015 Finals, broken families will be lovingly reunited, lost children will be found, abandoned pets will be in the loving care of new owners, and all gays will die of AIDS, all these miracles will happen because of LeBron's unquestionable greatness worthy enough to be mentioned second to Kobe.

Cavs will sweep this 7-0.

What now, Delly's a team killer now?

I will go with Bogut. It'll be either his shoulder or knee.

Added a poll. Not up to Lamrock's usual standards, but I did my best with the joke options.

I'm going with the Warriors in five. As the Western Conference Finals demonstrated, the Warriors are capable of dropping an elimination game to a lesser team, but at the end of the day they're too deep and too good for one star to overcome alone. LeBron's still the best player in the world, but that's not going to be enough.

Thanks for making the thread. Like the Spurs, I just didn't have it this year.

I'm pretty hyped for this series! Both of these teams are fantastic - I thought the love injury doomed Cleveland but Tristan has been terrific. I do think the Warriors take it in 7 with a flurry of threes from Curry, Thompson and JR.

One thing is certain an Aussie will win the NBA Championship 2 years in a row and Thompson will be have a ring. I got the Warriors in 6 though LeBron will be a beast again and Green will have a very hard time against him.

What the actual fuck?!

So what if Kyrie's back? He's not even that good a defender. Also, it's Chef Curry, not Chief.

Yes, LeBron CAN dominate his matchup with Barnes but against this good of a team? LeBron'll get worn down for sure. And who's to say Barnes will always be guarding LeBron? Dubs have Green, Iguodala, Ezeli to back him up whenever LeBron manages to get away from him.

Klay vs JR? What, do you think JR will outplay Klay this whole series? lol.

Face it, Cavs only has LeBron, Warriors have Steph, Klay, Iggy, Green, etc. Only way they can win this if Dellavedova injures Curry, Bogut, or Klay

Not even going to continue this rant.

Tell your mommy I said hi.

EDIT:
From a website:
"The Warriors have more depth and are healthier as compared to the Cavaliers. The Cavs are already without Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving’s condition is not at 100%, and their playoff-tested veterans Shawn Marion and Mike Miller aren’t helping the Cavs’ cause as much as they expected.

Meanwhile, Golden State’s lack of playoff experience doesn’t seem to bother their young roster. Just recently in Game 5 against the Houston Rockets, Harrison Barnes and Festus Ezeli stepped up big time to help the Warriors seal Houston’s fate.

LeBron James may be the one player on both teams that brings the most praises and experience in the Finals, but the Warriors have collectively been the best at all facets of the game for the entire 2015 season."

Finals don't start until June 4th so the Cavs have plenty of time to come up with a plan how to steal a couple of games.

The Warriors just have so many players they can throw on LeBron. The Cavs are lucky he can rest and be fresh for the Finals.

Thompson needs to continue being aggressive on the glass and hopefully Irving and Smith can catch fire and try to make this a series.

Shit, this thread has turned out to be success. More LBJ fans plz. I wanna see em crying at the end of this series. Maybe we will see "I wanna be alone" guy.

That said, I don't think the Warriors are a team that one super hero can beat. They're just too deep and too good. Has the Warriors ever won it all before? Might

They have, 40 years ago this year. They also won in 1956, and the first NBA (then BAA) championship as the Philadelphia Warriors, in 1947.

I've split and deleted the flammatory and garbage posts that have started to take over this thread. Fun is fun, disagreement and discussion is fine and to be encouraged, but this thread was very quickly getting derailed with childish nonsense. No more of that; be respectful towards one another, and don't fill this thread with rubbish posts. Anyone who wants to do that can take a month off. Last warning.
