Who knows what the skill level is of these guys he's playing against, but that spinning dunk he did was pretty impressive

Very similar to Demarcus Cousins personality wise.

Pretty sure this is from a few years ago before he signed for the knicks but I could be wrong I just remembered seeing something very similar back then.

This puts in perspective how athletic a retired NBA player is to average basketball players.

Ball don't lie, son.

It was posted October last year and he turned 40 last September, so I'd say it's recent (unless it's been deceptively titled).

Like I said I could be wrong, I'd have to go look back a knicks board to be sure

Most NBA players can play at an advanced level against lesser competition if they stay in any kind of shape, look at the shooting stars or celeb games for how natural shots and on-court reactions/awareness are still for guys. Jordan's still taking on Hornets players since they all want to go one-on-one with their idol, and he only at 50 admitted he was starting to have real trouble with them. Stockton beats up on the Gonzaga kids every year.

When Magic does his charity games he lumbers up and down the court like late career Shaq but his passes and everything are still there.

Reggie Miller's said if he was allowed to just camp in a corner and not have to run the court then he could play still lol

If you watch any of those Hakeem training Kobe/Dwight/etc. videos that are out there, you can see he's still got it with his moves being only a hair slower and the idea that an absurd freak like Wilt who never got out of shape and ran marathons until his death could have suited up as a backup center in the late 1980s like some teams tried to get him to do isn't so crazy.

It's the running the court that kills your knees and eventually your career assuming it's not something else like Bird's back. A half-court "old timers" league would be entertaining to watch since they wouldn't have to run.

That'd be ideal for Sheed since he's a lazy son of a bitch more than anything.

There is also a video of Chris Mullins beating his kings players in a 3 point shootout where he hits something like 12 straight.

Somethings never leave a player.

Sheed was badass though.
Been on the thinnest of ice and I turned myself into Gretzky.
2K13-2K20 modder.
CFs are the game.
Primary modder for NBA 2K14 D-League conversion mod.
