I don't want the next game to be the last but sadly it's going to be :(

Next season is going to be shit.

End of any racist discussion.

Like the Milwaukee series, I could see the team down 3-0 forcing a game 7

The series lasted one game longer than what I expected. Well done Mavs.

Rockets fire social media manager after tweet directed at Mavericks

The Houston Rockets fired social media manager Chad Shanks on Wednesday, a day after an inappropriate tweet was sent out following the team's series-clinching victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

"Sometimes you can go too far," Shanks said on Twitter. "I will no longer run @HoustonRockets but am grateful to the organization that let me develop an online voice."

Rockets officials also confirmed the firing.

Toward the end of the Rockets' victory Tuesday night, the team tweeted an emoji of a pistol next to a horse and text suggesting the Mavs succumb to an inevitable end.

I'm sure a lot of people will wring their hands about political correctness run amok, but it was tasteless at worst, unsporting at best. Gotta be more savvy than that on social media.

Meanwhile, in case there was any doubt that Rondo's time in Dallas is up: Rajon Rondo excluded as Mavs spread around playoff money.

The Dallas Mavericks opted not to give departed point guard Rajon Rondo a playoff share, sources said.

Rondo, who was acquired by the Mavericks in a blockbuster trade in December, left the team after the first two games of their first-round playoff series against Houston. The Mavs announced that Rondo had suffered a back injury, but a source told ESPNDallas.com that the team and Rondo actually reached a mutual decision to go their separate ways after he played only 9 minutes and 55 seconds in Dallas' Game 2 loss.

The other 14 players on the roster evenly divided $208,940, which is awarded to teams that lose in the first round of the playoffs. Houston beat Dallas in five games in the best-of-seven series.

Rondo in LA would be super fun. Not basketball wise but feud/clash between Kobe will be a great news maker imo. Kobe doesn't have to retire quitely.

Yeah, I imagine they'd butt heads sooner rather than later...perhaps literally, knowing Rondo's temper.
