Losing to New Orleans drops the defending champs four whole spots, making them the best 6 seed in 20 years. These are arguably the second and third best teams in the conference, and I see it going the distance, with the Spurs taking game 7 on the road. Should be fun!

Kind of a tough break for the Spurs there, but given how competitive it is from 2-6 in the West and the fact you can never seem to count them out, it's not a complete disaster. I'll take the Spurs in six, though it's a shame one of these teams will have to bow out in the first round.
Also, while I'm casting my vote for a serious answer in the poll, chances are CP3 and Manu will break the space-flop continuum.

Probably the series of the first round for me. I hope whoever wins this series wins the West. I think the Spurs will win it in 6 though.

lol LAC
Spurs in as many letters

Spurs in 6 with them making Blake look like a fraud and making DeAndre run all over the floor like a headless chicken.
Thu Apr 16, 2015 5:38 pm
Spurs in 5.

CAN YOU BELIEVE CP3 PLAYED FULL 82 GAMES WITH ZERO GAME REST?
Clippers may have the homecourt advantage but SAS are well rested. I will go with the Spurs in 6 because they got amazing depth to throw at CP3.

Defending champs 6th seed in the first round playing against arguably the best point guard in the league.
This isn't Houston, Paul isn't Stockton.
I firmly believe he's going to go berserk, bigs are more mature and they too have solid depth.
Clippers, let's say 5.

Let's see how many free throws Deandre can miss in a row.
There is no way in hell this Clippers team, no matter how fun it is to watch, is getting past what is essentially the same championship Spurs team, but with an even more improved Kawhi.

It's going to be very a entertaining Spurs in 6. They're just too deep and experienced. Also looking forward to Pop and Doc's chess match.

Don't count on it, Doc's more of a 'motivational' coach than an Xs and Os coach.
Thibs probably carried Doc's XO ass during his time with the Celtics.

Aron Baynes should go back to Australia after those 3 dunks
Mon Apr 20, 2015 6:27 pm
Spurs in 6, screw the Clippers.
Mon Apr 20, 2015 7:25 pm
Rip in peace Baynes.
Mon Apr 20, 2015 8:41 pm
Only one game, but I may have underestimated the Clippers. Still, I can't count the Spurs out until they're out...or at the very least, they're down a dire three games to one.

Griffin played a near perfect game. He certainly still got the hop.

You got to give Baynes credit for contesting those fucking dunks. He got pretty damn high on those attempts but not accurate enough.

Exactly. He was a real man trying to block it every single time. Most of the players would've ended up giving up or giving a tech.

I'm not sure why people put down shot blockers who put up a good effort to block a dunk. You have to tip your hat to both Griffin and Baynes for giving us something exciting to watch.

When he does something good, he's from Australia. When he gets dunked on or throws a phone, he was born in New Zealand.
That's how things work around here.

Spurs in 6.

The Spurs are intentionally daring Griffin to shoot mid range jumper.
Well, Duncan is just amazing. Makes me forget about his age. And this is the Spurs, such balanced attack. They don't need anyone to hog the ball unlike the Clippers that need Griffin and CP3 to do their thing to do well to have a shot at winning.
Thu Apr 23, 2015 2:53 pm
It looks like Doc is only playing 8 guys the whole series compared to Pop's 11-player rotation
Thu Apr 23, 2015 3:55 pm
Looks like the Spurs sent Baynes back to Australia... he was nowhere to be seen in game 2
