2015 Playoffs: (3) Chicago vs. (6) Milwaukee

Postby Lamrock on Thu Apr 16, 2015 12:32 pm

Chicago gets a bye in the first round with the win over Atlanta, though they draw the Cavs in round 2. Milwaukee has actually played decent basketball after slumping hardcore right after that mid-season trade, but Chicago is just on another level. I'll give the Bucks a game because Chicago has been inconsistent this year, but finally healthy, I'll take the Bulls in 5.

Bulls in five for me as well. It will be a tremendous disappointment if they falter here, but if they're healthy, I'm confident that they'll prevail. I too believe that Milwaukee can take at least one game though, so yeah, five it is.

Bulls in 6. This could be 5, but the Bulls are fragile, like a flower.

Bulls.

Hope they don't get injured this time. CHI vs CLE could be a very good series.

The Bulls will play home games no matter where and Pachulia will be Gasol's bitch all through out so it's a sweep...

Milwaukees front court hurt them on the boards and MCW took over last game. Ilyasova has a chance to capitalize on the poor bulls defense on pick n roll

As the phatG said, Gasol should own them. Thibs coaching with a full deck and 3 days to prepare for the bucks. I picked bulls in 5

Bulls in 5. Hoping for Rose to be healthy throughout the Playoffs specially against the Cavs next round.

Looking forward to this Bucks team next season though. They have the potential to be like the Pels right now.

Nice win for the Bulls to tip off the series, but they need to curb those turnovers. If the Bucks are hitting their shots or the Bulls go cold, those errors will definitely keep Milwaukee in the game. Rose looked really good going to the basket though, and even knocked down those threes in the second half; not too many bad attempts in that one. Hope Gibson only tweaked his ankle.

Back in 2-3 years ago, this Derrick Rose was average.

Great win by Bulls. They look healthy!

Yes. This is what Bulls fans have been waiting for. A good performance to build on for Rose and the team overall.

As Andrew mentioned, they need to be smart with the ball next time and Pau should find a way to get him involve in the post but nonetheless a pretty confident game by the Bulls... Beside their scoring, Rose and Butler did a great job containing MCW and the Greek guy and if they continue to do so there's no way the Bucks can steal a game in this series... Scary moment with Taj there but from what I saw after the game, his knees are just fine...

This was a decent Bulls win, but the team didn't look like one that can contend for a championship. There is still room to grow, and the Bulls better start growing fast. Milwaukee should not pose much of a challenge.

They don't look like they are contenders because they aren't.

They are still piecing things together and this was a good start.

I won't nitpick a double digit victory. There are some concerns but nothing earth shattering. Imagine if there weren't any defensive lapses around the basket. Maybe they win by 25 lol. Either way, I expect the Bucks to be in every game. The Bulls aren't a dominant team.

The 3pt shooting is somewhat fluky but some is a result of the bucks double teaming Gasol

Maybe Kidd decides to double Rose instead of Gasol in game 2.

Feisty game... Thank goodness for Mike Dunleavy keeping them within striking distance earlier and Jimmy Butler getting hot in the 4th to secure this game for the Bulls... Same issues in Game 1 though a little less turnovers this time and Pau hit some shots in the post... Not quite a good night offensively for Rose but he did a good job being a facilitator... If Pau continues to be not a treat offensively, they're done in the 2nd round...

I thought the bucks did well defending the Bulls. It's a great scheme Kidd has employed. The Bulls perimeter guys have to make the 3pters otherwise the Bulls offense starts looking like the bucks offense

Seems like a combo of gasol not being aggressive enough to get the post position and the Bulls not being patient with him establishing it. Shaq had some good points on this

Maybe there needs to be a fight every Bulls series. Butler seems to respond in a big way each time. Middleton had a good game but he can't guard Butler and neither can Mayo

Taj needs to calm the fuck down.

Should be a lot Bulls fans making the trip to Milwaukee for game 3.
