(My league) Why are team Cpu's stupid at draft night?

My League and My Gm Team Cpu's always drafts scrubs, why is that? This always happen. the top 5 prospects always gets drafted in the lottery. The top 5 picks are mostly 69 overall below. There are times that the top # 5 prospects gets drafted in the 2nd round. What the heck is wrong with the cpu franchises?

I don't get why is this problem? If CPU drafts idiots, you draft good players, right?

Not everyone (in fact, probably only a minority of players) plays to assemble the Dream Team. Most players want some realism in their game, and poor CPU logic takes that away. Unfortunately, if you want the most realism 30 team control is really the only way to go.

It's called bad scout grade.The level of inacurate scouting when a scout has a grade of C+ and below is unbelievable.I've seen a C+ scout value Monroe's potential as A+ and Drummond's as B+ on the Pistons.If you combine that with the tendency that lottery teams have worse scouts you end up with weird decisions in the top 5 of the draft.Sometimes it's also a question of team fit.E.g. the 76ers rarely draft a big man in 2015 top 3 spots ,even though the 2015 big men are the highest potential players.

Other times you see teams drafting scrubs at a position they are already stacked so it's a bit random.Personally when i see drafts in the top 5 that go wtf i immediately alt+tab to desktop and restart nba 2k15(can't help you with consoles).A lot of times a restart of the draft results in better (passable) decisions.Other times not.It's hit and miss...

The Sixers already have Embiid and Noel, why would they want to draft another big man?

Because they might in real life.The 76ers are not in a position to draft based on fit ,but best player (ori potentially best) available.However for my league it's good they usually don't draft big men.I was giving an example.
