No, the numbers aren't quite right. If someone with skill in that area wanted to redo the numbers for the Sonics' jersey, that would be great. (Y)

Thanks for the latest faces Pirate, awesome as always! :)

I had the same problem with the Draft Class Pack I did a while back. The problem there is that you just have to resize the .bmps in the _num.fsh. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help before Andrew.

The patch is great just a few suggestions:

Garnett is 75 overall, why?
averaged 10ppg in the 95/96 season.

Also is it possible to put the draft class of 96/97 into the the first years draft?

Just a minor glitch on the Warriors jersey, the away jersey is blurry and cant read it very well.

One more thing, when I am loading the game it is so slow. is it just my computer ?

I think it is just because of custom art.

Strategies for 95/96 patch

Postby nuno on Wed Aug 11, 2004 11:48 pm

Hi guys!

GREAT patch! loved the NBA that time...

One question for the patch makers, specially the ones involved in the rosters:

Wich strategy did you assign for each team?

and another question to all of you guys:

In 95/96 the zone defence WASN´T allowed (correct me if im wrong) so, what will you guys do? Leave it on or turn it off in the options menu?

Thanks!

you can find it in the xteam folder inside the render folder.
And the file you're looking for is:

stcl11_num.fsh for home jerseys

and

stcl10_num.fsh for away jerseys

I've just added Lazieb0y to the list of contributors. My apologies to Lazieb0y, I certainly did not mean to leave you off the list.

It's both.

75 overall was the lowest I could get without dropping his ratings simply to lower his overall rating.

Only if you add them yourself at the end of the first season. If I place them in the rookie pool by default, the game will just clear them when you start a new Dynasty.

I can't remember if I made any changes to the team's plays for the 95/96 patch (I know I made changes in the current roster patch), I have a feeling it slipped my mind.

Indeed it is...I don't know how that happened, I could have sworn the right court was installed for the Grizzlies. I'll fix that for v1.1 and the update pack. (Y)

I am in the process of converting custom art files into the viv files that do not require custom art to be enabled. If I have any success, I would pass those files to Andrew then he can release those if he wants to.

Anyway, I have a problem. I cannot find headshapes for some players and I need whoever did those guys to kindly tell me which headshapes they've used.

I will list those players here with the headshape names that are written in their respective loda.o files

debrown (debrown)
demckey (demckey)
eajohns (eajohns)
ermontr (ermontr)
lajohns (lajohns)
maelie (th-elie)
moblayl (moblayl)
tedeher (th-king)
temills (temills)

Thanks!

I do have the .viv files for all of those players except Terry Dehere. Pirate originally sent me the .viv files. I wouldn't be against releasing a CustomArt 0 version.

Looks nice. (Y) Cklitsie made the original version.

The easiest way to solve the problem is to move the xcourt folder elsewhere and move it back when you want to play with the 95/96 patch. I'll try to fix the art issues in v1.1 and the update pack.

Thanks for the corrections. I do plan on making an updated version (which will probably be v1.1 rather than v2.0, but that doesn't really matter) as well as an update pack for people who have already downloaded v1.0 - that will save people from downloading another 14 MB file.

you should make an install that at least gives you the ability to switch between the 95/96 mod and the current NBA. you could do this by renaming the team abreviations and using eazip to extract any files needed for each team like logos, stadium, jerseys already in the game and such and have the batch rename them and reimport with eazip. or simply having a batch backup the original .vivs and import and overwrite with all the 95/96 files and just include a small switch .bat to switch between the 95/96 .vivs and the 2004 .vivs.....

That'd ne a good idea because I get the urge to play with the current rosters now and then

That's great. Can you then send me those viv files, then I will compile the whole thing into a zip file or something and send them back to you (First I will have to test them if they work).

It would also be good if you can send me anything in .viv format which would be more reliable then what I converted.
