O/S: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU: i5-3570k @ 3.8GHz
RAM: 10GB DDR3
GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 2GB

I was getting around 55 fps with everything on high, and even with 8x MSAA after patch #1. Patch #2 just broke everything so now I have the dreaded stuttering that I experienced on the release day product.

To the original poster: You cannot force triple buffering in a Direct3D application without using D3DOverrider. And since D3DOverrider does not work on 64-bit executables that means you cannot force triple buffering. You cannot force D3D triple buffering through your GPU driver control panel (AMD or Nvidia). That is for OpenGL only. Besides, the game already supports triple buffering, and you can set it in the videosettings.cfg file.

it is poor optimization, just look at far cry 3 optimization and far cry 3 & nba 2k15 have not same but similar PC specs. I remember when I bought far cry 3 i was already made my mind to play game on medium and when i entered game i could easily max most of the settings to max and still get steady 60 fps, that's called good optimization and you got whole open world there with dynamic trees, fires, grass, leaves and all that stuff..here you have what ? Arena, spectators and 10 players + bench, coaches, assistants and refeeres and again it was poorly optimized, i run the game just fine i'm just saying they did amazing job with optimization such a demanding game but then again you all remember gta4 and how that game was poorly optimized, it's all about developers and how much time they take to optimize PC version aside from console versions

I had lots of performance problems on far cry 3, got a bit better with official updates, but still had to tinker with settings to get optimal performance. 2k15 runs smoothly from the start 4me.

Then maybe it's just randomly for all of us, but anyways game optimization could be better, in reality when we speak just about brute force of hardware ps4 is equivalent to maybe later generation of core 2 duo and core 2 quad processors, ps4 uses custom AMD jaguar processor with 1-2 mb of L2 cache memory while for example core 2 duo E8 generation uses 6mb L2 cache memory but it's not compareable because ps4 is solely a gaming platform while PC is multiplatform machine with OS and everything else, anyways every now and then we seeing games that are perfectly optimized and games that are awfuly optimized so it's only matter of developer willingness and awareness should they optimize a game better or worse and also it's about profit like always, why should one developer who makes game for example for PS4 and PC but PS4 is let's say targeted as main source of income from that game, why should they bother to optimize PC version of that same game because maybe for 10 % of sales revenue, when you see the whole picture it's all about money like always, if one game is PC exclusive ofcourse they are going to put great efforts into optimization and patching that game because that's where their money come from as you can see now nba 2K15 for ps3/x360 version of the game is released as a patch from 2k14, they released the game under new name, added some of the new players (not all) and ofcourse last gen users won't receive updates and court updates and such, why ? because it's last gen, it's not popular anymore and they figured out it angry users who purchase game and find out they bought a semi-finished game without many game modes, without updates they target THOSE users will BUY NEW CONSOLE and switch to their primary game version which milks most money from people, so when you put all on the paper it's a circle that's all about money and profits like usually

Maybe at minimum. Just make sure you're on a 64 bit version of Win7 or 8.

Smooth all maxed out in 1024? sry brodah...no, even with 1gb of vram. This game is real benchmark for mid ends. Also you need to OC your c2d, because even with cards like 460gtx,470gtx or 560Ti your 2ghz cpu will bottleneck gpu. Sry Jhine we are buddies so i must be honest with you.

Not really in high settings bro, 1024 is at medium settings i think? I saw a vid on youtube with dual core cpu, 2gb ram and a 512mb/128bit of graphics card and it works ok :) and overclocking dual core is not a good idea for me

Even with an upgraded card, you're still looking at minimum settings is my guess.

with 512mb of vram? r u kiddin me, it was fake or something, reso have nothing to do, i change from 1080i and my fps is the same for 1024. U need solid 2,5-3ghz + at least 470gtx from older gpus+ 4gb of RAM. Try to search second hand computer, it will be cheap right now, but i understand it can be expensive for others.

Ok i want to ask, this time radeon users. Did you guys notice drops to 30 in normal gameplay without any reason in random situations? Mean stable 60fps and after 3minutes baaam 29fps..back to 60fps...2minutes baaam again 27fps. I hate this game.

Everyone having performance problems ITT, could you try this fix that worked for me and a friend (scroll down past the RadeonPro stuff)? It was like night and day for us. Weird that the sound is linked to graphics performance...

My specs:
Image

As you can see, I don't have a beastly rig but I get locked 60FPS on Medium to High Graphics. Before the sound fix, I was getting 25fps up to 45.
To be honest, since doing that sound fix, I haven't tried maxing it out. I'll do that and report back.

Thinking about getting one of the high end gaming laptops. How pricey do I need to get with the Alienware ones? I dont want to pass a point where im just paying too much, I just want to max out NBA 2k14 and 2k15, nothing more.
