Now I understand Sprewell

Tue Nov 04, 2014 3:43 pm

How do you do well in those useless practice scrimmages after games? You get 6 minutes to improve your grade from a C to whatever. How much can you really do? I did well (B-), we won and the pos coach starts screaming at me. This has happened twice. How the f do you "do well" in practice? We talkin' about "practice. " Help me out before I Sprewell my coach.

if you want, to pos coach don't starts screaming, after practice, you need do, what your pos coach asking team before practice... If he say: today i want to seeing, pick&rolls and physical defense, you just need all practice doing those things...

Tried doing all of it, ran a whole bunch of pick and rolls like he said, it got us nowhere so I improvised cause I wanted to win the scrimmage. The AI is stupid that way. How do you scream at a dude averaging 35ppg, 15 assists, 8 rebounds?

Also, I'm not used to the camera angle they force on you in the scrimmage.

Also, is this a bug in my game? The coach is a generic brown guy - same looking guy from season 1to season 2 even though Sacramento's coach (Malone) is white and my second season coach (Doc Rivers) doesn't look like this dude.

I believe that the generic brown guy is more like an assistant coach or something, as he is on the bench at the games, as well as the coach of the team.

Yeah, it's weird how there are two coaches. The real coach, and then this other guy.

I didn't even realize that he's an assistant coach. The head coach rarely ever has any interaction with you. I guess this was to save on the 2k budget - not having to pay Rivers to do voice acting for a ton of lines.

He's just some fan who sneaks onto the bench. He's stalking you.

yeah that trainning mode is stupid, other player just play normal and you have to force shit like an idiot trying to accomplish the obj... that aren't even clear....

Mycareer in general is a complete mess and is really rushed this year, when you come to playoff, no more stats no more ranking, AI always running the same tactics 36m long... replay ..... 1 time on 256158522 showing. "Player of the game" camera shows you an opponant running down the court in slow motion.. wonderful but hey, i wanna see highlights... everything is corrupted by little small details ruining a bit the game experience....

I'd say it isn't feasible for them to record audio for every single head coach in the league, or even a key assistant. Having a generic assistant to utilise the audio assets they've recorded is the solution to that.

Yep. Last year's player of the game reel worked perfectly fine and was a great feature. Not sure why they would take that out. It doesn't break the game for me but is a con.

What's wrong with the player of the game sequence at the end of the game? It seems to work fine for me.

For sure, but nevertheless. it's still immersion breaking.

I guess, but it's better than just having text.
