Right below the score there's a few yellow-ish "bars" that indicate the timeouts left for each team. It's why I said "ehm" because I can't imagine how you could have missed that, haha.JWL3 wrote:Nightfly67 wrote: Ehm, the number of timeouts remaining is displayed right below the score.
Really? How could I have missed that? First place I looked. Thanks, I'll check it out tonight.

A new annoying moment was when, in Myleague, heading into a second round playoff series against the Cavs, control switched from the Bulls (my team) to the Cavs. I played (watched the CPU play) the Cavs vs. Heat game seven. Lebron had been out since Feb. The series was tied at 3-3. Lebron returned for game 7. The Cavs won by double digits. When the game ended, I selected the Bulls/Cavs game 1. I wanted to adjust player minutes. But now I was controlling the Cavs. On top it showed "Current Team: Cavaliers".
There's no way to switch teams. I can't get back to the Bulls.

Second, ABSOLUTELY EVERY MISS you make, even if you miss second free throw, will be counter attack by CPU team. Your AI teammates will go back in defense about one or two seconds AFTER players controlled by CPU.
Third, no matter who you have in team, CPU will ALLWAYS have much more offensive rebounds than your team defensive. Much, much more, which is unbelievably annoying.

About shooting percentage, both CPU and me will be around 50%, someone more or less depending on the game itself ofcourse.

I ran quicker games, so I could try different teams and opponents, and what I found was that it stopped being a problem for me. In 4 minute Quarters, in 3 games, I allowed, 1, 1, and 2 Offensive Rebounds over the entire game. I took notice of times when I specifically didn't go for a block, and that player grabbed the Defensive Rebound for me, where I otherwise would have definitely allowed an O-Reb to the CPU. The O-Reb has been a point of issue in the 2K series for several years, but some of it may very well be on the User side. Again, it was only 3 games and short Quarters (all I had time for), but it seemed to make a noticeable difference for me, to the point where I double checked if I had tweaked the Sliders and forgotten (I hadn't).

About counter attacks, against the teams that are known for their fast breaks I use limit transition in point of emphasis, so rarely they make it happen.
As for the rebounds, I play with Mavericks, we all know they're not very good at rebounding, but still I manage to get more rebound than opponent, both offensive and defensive, using timely made matchups and points of emphasis.
I mean, the whole game must be played planned and play at a time, if I'm not patient and start to run & gun, I get outscored 30-40 points, but when I play disciplined thorugh the whole game, I can easily take down Spurs. (first game in the season while a was getting used to the game and setiings and all, and played with no strategy, I lost to Spurs 133-89...but the next game against them I won 110-100, right now am on a 7 game winning streak)
I know there are situations the CPU (your teammates) make stupid mistakes, and CPU (opponent) make sometimes impossible things, but overall I find Superstar/Sim sliders very good this year.

That's all fine and good playing short qtrs. But when you increase them to 8-10 minutes, I'm sure that will change. Correct?? One thing I can say, they've made the game more challenging with ball security being paramount and much closer scores. If you don't bring your "A" game, you'll get beat. The game play is outstanding.
