2k Account and My Player hex editing

Mon Oct 20, 2014 2:10 am

Hi everybody! I have a question for you all.
My concern is: if I use an hex edito to edit a My Career offline save file (for example using Cheat Engine table), will it in any way affect my 2K account? By that I mean would I be flagged as a cheater even though I'd be using it on my single player My Careers to....let's say "tweak" ( Rolling Eyes ) the character? I'd use the My Player online features just to buy eye candy (accessories and stuff...) and then use CE "locally".

Do you have any ideas if my worries are unfounded or else?

Only one way to find out. Make a backup, and if something goes wrong and it doesn't work out, you can always start a new MyCareer.

My worry isn't really on the integrity of the savegame file, rather on any harm to the remote account. Even though I don't play multiplayer games in NBA 2K my original question is if anybody got banned from his account for tampering with the offline features (obviously based on previous years' editions of the game, also)

I believe people have been banned or something. There were 30 foot players and players rated 99 within days of Tennessee. That was on the last generation consoles and pc.

Personally, I find that once I have that high rated player, I don't play as much. The progress getting there was more satisfying than having a player maxed out from the beginning.
