Radeonpro and 2k15

Talk about NBA 2K15 here.

Radeonpro and 2k15

Postby centrifugal on Fri Oct 17, 2014 9:19 pm

Just got the game today. I'm quite underwhelmed so far and at the moment I'd rather play modded 2k14 than this, but I'm willing to give it time (waiting for patches, mods etc).

Just wondering... has anyone managed to apply radeonpro to 2k15 so far? Because I tried different methods but none worked. I don't have any programs like fraps / msi running in the background.

Seriously I'm dying to apply some radeonpro/sweetfx magic to this because right now it looks like a turd.

The game looks like a turd? Are you playing on minimum settings or something?

No... high settings, special effects on.

The only thing that looks good are some of the players (not all of them, I played a couple of games, and in one of them Spurs vs Dallas, Splitter and Nowitzki don't look realistic) and the crowd. Everything else is far worse than the modded version of 2k14. The stadiums lighting is horrible, it's like they run on power saving mode (too dark), the floor textures look terrible, the net is like it's made of paper. I also have some stuttering issues during cutscenes.

It's a bit hard to accept that the employees who work for a company demanding 50 euros for a game can't be bothered to make the aforementioned assets as good looking as the modders do.

Edit: Compared to the vanilla version of 2k14, 2k15 is obviously better, but to 2k14 modded... it's quite underwhelming...anyway, as I said, I'm willing to give it time, it's going to look different with radeonpro/sweetfx/mods on etc. That's not the point of this thread. I wonder if anyone got radeonpro to work.

are you sure you have all maxed out? shaders, textures quality.
I can agree with courts/jerseys but damn play fair, it looks much better overall

Actually, forget what I just said about the game looking like a turd. I think I had some settings wrong. I restarted the game and it looked amazing. But now the FPS is horrible, that's ok though I was already aware I have to upgrade my GPU (radeon hd7850).

I hope I can run radeonpro to make the game playable until i get a new gpu.

Yeah, I was going to ask if maybe you had your integrated graphics running the game or something. Sometimes on this game (and some others), you have to go in and add the game to your list and assign your GPU to the game itself in settings.

Glad to see you are a bit more impressed, but yes, this game needs a beast of a computer to run. My new gaming computer should be arriving on Monday. GTX 980!

TheGame8544, dont be surprised, because i read on few forums, not only NBA2k15, other games dont work like they should on 9xx series. Its all about drivers, hope you will find pure fun from day one (Y)
