Can you film and post some videos of what you're experiencing in 2K15? I'm curious to see what it looks like, visually, when this drop in frame rate happens. It's a much more fluid game than this Rome one seems to be. I have a pretty untrained eye, and I imagine I may not even be able to notice it. Just curious, if you're able to at some point.

I'm personally not experiencing any problems whatsoever with 2K15... I did have microstutter but that was because I had crossfire enabled... still waiting on an official Crossfire driver from AMD.... and most of these other guys really are having issues either because they're trying to play on laptops, and some others ignorantly expecting to be able to run 2K15 because 2K14 ran without problems as if it's the same game..... but really the issues are probably in most cases because Nvidia hasn't released a good driver yet which includes optimization for 2K15.... yet I'm seeing everyone bash 2K for releasing a "messy" game..

I said in another thread the games on PC way they work is they get released on a playable and solid performance level I mean not perfect and as it could be, but then Nvidia and AMD come out a short while later and get rid of the performance problems with a further driver optimization... only in cases with huge AAA games like Battlefield or Call of Duty, will AMD and Nvidia have drivers ready to go on release day and even before sometimes

In my video there I have FRAPS enabled top left corner, you can see the horrible framerate drops to down below 10fps in some cases, anyway now THATS unplayable

bla bla bla bla....

Just one think, IMO, the stuttering make this game unplayable right now. 2k make a fantastic game with PRIMARY BUGS! Jesus guys, can u test the game with 3 or 4 diferent configs before release the game?

80% of persons have the stutter problem, how 2k dont see this before 7/10????

Fix this after release the game it´s not the best run. Sorry.

^Agreed with Lagoa (and everyone else).

I've since tried to troubleshoot some more.

CPU back to default speed, swapped out Titan GPU for old GTX 680, physically removed Creative sound card, tried on board sound, tried no audio driver at all...

No change.

And the fact that the stuttering is so inconsistent is a real worry.

As my first post further up the page mentions, playing a full 12 minute qtr game, I saw massive stutter at the end of each quarter. It would go away during the break, play fine most of the qtr and again start again at the ends.

Then the second game in the season, there was no major stutter but a constant micro stutter throughout the whole game.

During my troubleshooting, there would be some smoother moments, only to be hit with a huge, almost pause in the game of almost a second before the next frame caught up.

2K cannot simply put this down to the nature of PC gaming and the long list of varied systems we all have.

Nor is it up to Nvidia and AMD to fix. That is not their job.

Can i ask you Phreak50, to set texture quality on med, exit 2k15 and run the game again?
For me its obvious, 2k did not beta test 2k15, its immopsible even 5 beta testers did not found major display issue.

Hi mate.

I just tested on medium for you. Not much change.

Seriously this game is a disaster on PC.

FRAPS is reporting it running 110fps yet it is stuttering so obviously. And even with vsync forced, there is still screen tearing.

I'm assuming it runs flawless on PS4 (like it did in 2K14 which I had on PS4) so it just shows PC was an afterthought. Yet, we've all been charged for a full priced game this time around and not a bargain price like last year on PC.

I've given up. I'm going to record a bunch of these issues and make a video on YT, try to spread it around. 2K does not deserve to get away with this mess. :/

A demo really would not have prevented the problems we have right now. Demo's have always been 1 quarter of gameplay with no online functionality. So how would they have been able to filter out the online problems? The first few weeks are always risky with big releases like 2K15 as a lot of stress will be put on the servers. Just look at how smoothly the server launch for GTA V went.
And honestly flooding the entire twitter or inbox of someone is not going to help. If we want to help the developers we need to give them a good well reasoned bug report. And we need to refrain from shouting at them.
Seriously i understand people are frustrated but you need to think about the devs at this point. Breaking down code and finding what is wrong, and then fixing it without breaking something else is really hard. Give them time! All good things come to those who wait.

Phreak50, damn its really disaster, the most weird thing is that 2k15 runs so different on similar computers. I saw so many combination, i give up. Im free from stuttering, but im not free from frame drops after 5minutes of smooth gaming.
Last question for you, whats your monitor? or tv?
UrbanRival, dude they didnt test basic features of this game inside their own studio, its unacceptable. We are beta testers, customers.

flooding 2k tweeters is just as ridiculous as 2Ksupport telling customers "tweet us your ticket # and we will look into it'

Monitor is BenQ XL2411T, capable of 120/144hz. I've tried 60, 120, vsync on/off. Nothing matters.

One game it will stutter constantly from start to finish. Next game will feel a bit smoother but then have big frame drops and freezes during a rebound or turnover.

I've also moved the game directory in Steam to my SSD and it doesn't help.

I thought maybe with the trend of current next gen games to PC ports requiring huge vram (Shadow of Mordor, Evil Within and so on) that maybe this was the case with 2K. But my GPU has 6GB, plus the game still stutters on minimum settings.

The funny thing is my recording programs are reporting super high frame rates (90fps unlocked, constant 60fps with vsync) yet it really appears to be the opposite of smooth during gameplay.
