I was getting bad stuttering and audio crackling since i installed the game. It runs on max settings smoothly it would just have hiccups. I went to my audio driver and disabled it and ran the game without audio. It works perfect now no lag no stutter nothing. But now i have no audio. Can anybody explain to me why this would happen?

Damn. I've seen this happen with other games in the last 10 years I've been PC gaming.. I don't know why.

I had a feeling doing so would probably fix some problems. Maybe try and re-install or update your audio drivers and see if that helps.

yeah i have never had this issue before. i just played the new lord of the rings game prior to this one and everything worked smoothly. Not sure what the problem is i updated my audio drivers and it still is a issue.

right clicked the audio icon and clicked on playback devices. i disabled the one with the green check mark. After i ran the game like this i had zero problems whatsoever on Max settings. No audio sucks tho. Trying to figure out why its cause the game to lag

yes that is what i did and the game works fine without the Audio. With the Audio not so much

Same experience for me. Disabling my computer audio eliminates stuttering w/ simultaneous audio distortion.

What's the point of playing without sound anyway

Good to know that PC specs are OK and a patch (but not PC upgrade) could fix the lag.

Exactly, before trying that I thought that my laptop was a bit weak for the game but now I am sure that I can run the game well and waiting for a patch to repair this stuttering crap.

Yes this was my thinking as well. I knew my Computer could run the game. Disabling the audio all but confirmed that for me as it runs silky smooth withouth

Try going to device manager and disabling your AMD High Definition audio device or NVIDIA High Definition Audio device instead of your onboard sound. I've heard this has worked for people before, and you get to keep your sound as long as you are using the Realtek or onboard sound or dedicated sound card.

I try it before Pdub....not work.
IMO, it´s a PORT or CODE error....because stuttering apears on PRATICE MODE too... starts perfect, i´m run on ALL COURT and BINGO, stuttering apears and stay forever...lol

Micro stuttering has been issue many pc games. The fact that it appears for some people but not for others allows us to conclude that is a configuration or compatibility issue between hardware and software.
I have rarely had the issue any game. The only game I recall any issue was certain fps games. It turned out to be something my network, a printer, that was constantly sending a packet to my computer at a certain interval. It actually caused a slight pause in many games
The other peripheral that caused an issue was a usb driver for my keyboard. There was an extra driver causing my frame rate in games to dip 10-20% until I identified the driver and disabled it.
The amount of configurations in a PC is quite infinite and it is not helpful to anyone, whether it be a developer working to the issue or a user trying to troubleshoot, to just conclude that it is poorly optimized or ported.
I suggest to anyone who has the issue to troubleshoot the issue themselves because can quite unique to each users setup. Try disabling your lan and playing a quick game offline. Try unplugging your keyboard, try lowering graphics settings from your control panel or in game. Try ending unneeded background programs and processes. If you all work together constructively, you can get to bottom the issue and find a solution.

Doesn't work here. My audio is fine actually, I run an external audio card (Scarlett 2i2), may be the reason.
