First Impressions

Hey guys, I just thought some of you who have not received the game yet would like to know of my opinion of the game so far. First I want to say that with all the settings turned up in nVidia control panel as well as in the game at a resolution of 1920x1080, I'm getting a solid 60 FPS with occasional drops to 45-50 in after basket camera cuts. The AA settings level are 1 through 8. Also AA quality goes up to 32. Here are my specs:

GTX 770 2GB
AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz
8GB RAM

Next, IMO the menu system is BADASS!!
You can use the right analog stick to move the camera around in the menus. It's kinda hard to explain but you'll see what I mean. So I like the menu system a lot.

I have only played one quick match, but I'm liking the gameplay so far. It's going to take some time to get used to it. It's not like 2K14 very much at all.

The controls are pretty much the same as last year. That's all I have found out so far. I'm off to play.

AA quality goes up to 32 ?? are you sure? mine only goes up to 16.... I have it maxed out at 8 AA and quality at 16...



edit: I forgot when I had a Nvidia card, their AA goes up to 32, while AMD cards go up to 16, I have an AMD card now

Anybody able to make a Create A Player that doesn't look like a fucking caveman?

I'm trying to make the dude look more Asian, like myself- and I keep ending up with Brendan Fraser in Encino Man.

My game crashed. I was trying to access instant replay after I hit a buzzer-beater 3-pointer at the end of the half, and I skipped the half-time highlight stuff. When I went into instant replay, I could only rewind a few seconds. Then crashed to desktop. T_T

Wow, are you !@#$ing serious? MyPlayer wasn't saved either. I spent forever creating that too. I thought it autosaves...

EDIT: Nevermind. After I connect to 2K Server, MyPlayer is back. Jeezus....

I was playing MyCareer and the server DC'd me and somehow my MyPlayer reset. Luckily, MyCareer is in tact.

Yes, Mine goes to 8 and 32. Check to make sure you have your video settings maxed out in your video control panel in windows.

Yeah it's pretty difficult to make a player look the way you want him to look.

Yes it does. It just freezes for a half a second. Not very often, but often enough to be concerned.

Yes

Be patient, and don't call any plays. Freelance offense kicks in and guys start moving around depending on which freelance offense you have set 3-2, swing, pace and space, triangle, etc...

Yes he is, he is the top free agent. His overall is 78 and he is wearing a Heat jersey in his photo.

I don't know why but i have no even some impressions of game (first time btw), it's feels like NBA 2k14 (which already bored), no any new experience even with new NG graphics. Did not expect this. I played all nba2ks on pc since NBA2K9, maybe that's why. Probably for me this series exhausted, damn

Played it for a little bit.

I'm on an early 2013 iMac and I'm at a pretty middle of the road resolution with all video settings on high except "Texture Detail". If I turn that on high, the game crashes when I try to play a GM or Season game.

Not terribly impressed with this game so far, to be honest. Game feels a lot like 2K14 in it's collisions.

I DO like the improved offensive AI- feels like your other teammates are constantly moving and rotating which is cool.

Create-A-Player is the aspect of the game I'm most interested in and it falls pretty short. Can't edit the nickname, so my guy is stuck with "Slim" instead of "The Prophet". Also, seems to be some kind of weird glitch, but changing the Shot Base doesn't seems to do anything when previewing the shot, not can you give your guy a headband.

There's little glitches like that all over the place.
