A few weeks back I preordered NBA 2K15 from Green Man Gaming, as after a voucher/coupon it was $45.
Anyway I was wondering if anybody has used them in the past to preorder NBA 2K14, 13, etc and if so, when did you receive your game serial?

I hope its a day or two before hand or at least within the first few minutes after midnight on release day.

Thanks

They will send you the Key 1-2 days before Release.

Isn't it true that in the past 5 years of 2k (from 2k9 to 2k14), the requirements haven't changed at all? 2k just wasn't that demanding of a game to run when it was previous generation. I had an overclocked quad core Intel Q6600 and two cross-fired Radeon 4850's and it ran well maxed out.

Hey guys….long time follower and member of NLSC, just have never posted very much. This may be a dumb question, but I was wondering if there is a possibility for me to run NBA2K15 on my iMac through Bootcamp, or something similar? I have a fairly new iMac with these specs:

2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 512 MB
1 TB Hard Drive

Due to work/music related things, I had to move from PC to Mac last year, and I’ve really missed the gaming aspect of things, especially the 2K and Live series. It sounds like this year’s version of 2K15 is going to be awesome, so I’d love to figure out a way to make it work on my iMac.

I currently don’t have Bootcamp installed on my computer, nor do I have a copy of Windows. But I’d be willing to give it a shot if there’s a chance of playing it. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas as to what would work best, or if it’s even possible? Thanks!

According to the system requirements - no. But it is strange, considering that in the minimum requirements dx 10.1 videocard needed. It only remains to wait for release to check.

I just barely pass the minimum specs. If I can't run it on the lowest settings possible at 30 fps...I'm gonna be disappointed.

You should get rid of that piece of junk. If you want, I can do you a favor and take it off your hands for $50. :eh:

I had to look a few times from a few different angles before I realized it wasn't a car engine.

It looks like a car engine.

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

It looks like it weighs as much as a car engine too.

You know you spent too much on your PC when it weighs more than your refrigerator.

Just one question...Why do you have a car engine like that as a PC? Because of reason? :D

So, I have just ordered GTX 970.
If anyone's about to upgrade and is unsure whether to take this one or something older - I can post some screens and benchmark NBA 2K15 on friday when I get the game.

I would be interested to see how my 770 I just got stacks up to your 970.
I know yours will perform better, but I'm curious about how big of a gap there will be.
What is your CPU & RAM?

Mine is:
CPU - AMD FX-6300 Six-Core 3.5GHz(OC - 4.1GHz)
GPU - MSI GTX 770 Clock(1137-1198MHz) 2GB DDR5
RAM - Crucial Ballistix Sport - 8GB(1866)
Windows 8.1

I just got gtx 980  at the end of the day I couldnt resist selling my r9 290x now. Sold it in auction for 350 eur and bought zotac gtx 980 reference design for 550 USD/440 EUR. @newegg.com with help from my aunt living in USA who brought it to me today so no shipping costs :D , except for a bottle of pinot noir wine
Gtx 980 is a beast. Bf4 with ultra settings runs @110-120 fps @1920x1200 resolution and the reference design cooler performs like a charm - cool and very quiet.

Windows 8.1

CPU - AMD FX-8320 Octa-Core 3.5GHz (OC @ 4.2 GHz on stock voltage)
RAM - 8GB Kingston, running @1600MHz

And I will have Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 edition, running at 1178 MHz standard clock and 1329 MHz boost. It's got windforce x3 cooling, so that's nice.

So benchmarks should be fairly comparable.

Yeah, I was hoping for a GTX980 too, but in my country we basically give half of our money away on taxes - first some on salary and then 21% taxes on anything you buy (with exceptions like food). So I had a long conversation with myself and decided that it wouldn't be reasonable to pay $700 for the card (note to self: wtf happened to our currency it just dropped 10% against USD :/ ).

I meant that other components are quite similar so the difference will be comparable - that it won't be like comparing i7-4770K vs celeron based pcs

LOL. It's actually quite light because it's a small form factor case. I'd say less than 30 lbs.

If you plan to play on 1080p, then you should be able to get 60 FPS on max settings imo :)

Not sure how much it costs where you buy it, but in Germany a R9 285 costs @250€ and you can get a GTX 970 for 300€ already, what would be a huge upgrade. If you only want to play 2K15 you can even go lower than a 285.
