It doesn't matter when you get the key and (maybe) disc. Steam will let you activate/play after launch.

I just wanted to see how much it would cost me on Paypal (I had like $26 but on USD) and it suddenly bought the game without going to the paypal site.-.-

They change the release date again in ours. It was Oct 10 at first then they change it to Oct 7. Now, its to Oct 13.

Xbox One: The Xbox One version of NBA 2K15 will be globally available for pre-load, starting on September 25, 2014 at 8 AM PST. Xbox One digital pre-orders will be entitled to an extra 15,000 VC, but will not receive the aforementioned Bonus Pack.

Xbox 360: There is no digital pre-order program for Xbox 360 from Xbox. NBA 2K15 will be available for purchase and download on October 7, 2014.

PC: Pre-load information has yet to be determined at this time. All PC digital pre-orders will receive a Steam Code to unlock the full game. Upon unlock, there will be a Locker Code shown when you log in to the game, which can be redeemed via the instructions linked above.

I got the link from Ronnie 2k's tweet. PC Preload is yet to be determined and the xbox one preload already started.

Even at 30-40GB, It would be 4-5 Dual-layer DVDs minimum. Like I have said before, it doesn't cost much to publish a game with 4 DVDs as opposed to a game with 2 DVDs(maybe $0.50-$1 per unit sold at most). But if they have 500,000 units sold that adds up to a lot of money. I couldn't blame them if they were to do downloads only.
