hey Leftos. 1. is it easier to stay in front of your man playing on ball defense this year? 2. have you guys improved defensive rotations? 3. Is the rebounding on the defensive end improved? 4. Have you guys tuned down the super blocks from behind? It felt like everyone could easily block dunks/layups from behind.

nope you are completly right!

Leftos answered with "yes" in another Thread when i asked him if simcast means you can sim to a certain point of a game and then jump in!

We should be able to skip through any part of the game with a button(in a perfect world).

Hi Leftos. Can you say if there will be a physical DVD copy of NBA 2K15 for PC or if it is download only?

Really awesome to hear the specific improvements rather than just the generic "improvements to trade logic/sim stats" that we're accustomed to.

Thank you Leftos for the info, all the improvements sound well thought out and implemented, and hopefully add a little more character or news to a season.

One question I have regards player regression. You've talked about player progression and peak or prime, but what about the aging veterans? I understand their roles or player types may change as their stats decrease, but has there been any improvements to which stats decrease? ie a players atheleticism decreasing, proness to injury increasing, while skills stay relatively the same or improve such as the awareness stats and shooting skills?

Sounds brilliant, I'm so excited for these two modes! I have a question, Leftos (if you can answer), will I be able to play MyLEAGUE games with a mate of mine locally? That's what I spend most of my time doing in 2k games.

Will computer controlled teams set strategies based on coach preferences and personnel?

Will computer controlled teams' strategies change based on their personnel and the opponent?

Too excited for this! Can't wait

Leftos,
Hey Leftos, the MyGM/MyLeague mode is going to be sick!It is going to be full of details which are going to replicate a real NBA season and I'm so eager to play it!
May I ask if it would be possible (in the future) that the already started association is automatically updated by 2k just like the rosters with the newest transactions?
I suppose that a lot people (like me) want to play the current NBA season in the association with all current trades and rosters. To do that in NBA 2k14 (old gen) you either had to play all 30 teams so you could make all trades or to use Vlads roster editor (with the association licence).
Or you had to wait until February/April when the trade-/free-agent-deadline was over :D
I'm aware of that this is a longshot and I can imagine that it is difficult to implement a feature like this but I think that this would be mindblowing!
Thanks man for your great work!

I'm thinking the idea that once you're traded with other players, would that make a conflict?

So, you may have noticed that Leftos hasn't posted any answers recently. Keep posting questions though, as Leftos will be joining us for an episode of the NLSC Podcast, where we'll be talking about all this stuff and he'll be answering questions from the community. :)

Let's say I only want to be the coach of a team, and I don't want to do the work of GM, trainer, scout, and not even the players. I just want to figure out rotations, playbooks and in-game substitutions. Can I do that in 2K15?

Thanks Leftos..

I'm lovin this expanded injury mechanic, as opposed to just ramping up the injury slider when one wants injury to happen(either to cpu or the player's). (Y)

Please ask what Rob Jones and him had a disagreement about which ended in Jones admitting he was wrong :P

I'm guessing it was in relation to sexiness of beard, but just in case it was game-related, I guess we can ask. ;)

Haha, it was game-related according to Rob Jones but also I think Leftos' beard felt threatened.

Nothing threatens Leftos' beard. :scold:

But anyway, good questions so far everyone, keep 'em coming. I'm not sure what Leftos is able to talk about that isn't MyGM or MyLEAGUE related, so best to keep questions centred around those modes.

Will rookie scale contracts be editable in MyLeague?

Hey Leftos, thanks for the work you've put in! From what I hear you're already making a huge impact on the Dev team. Could you talk a little about how you've grown as a programmer and also what skills should someone like me, who's still learning c++, focus on if I want to get to a position like yours.

Thanks!

Haha touche

For reference the argument I'm referring to is talked about by Rob Jones in this Press Row Podcast:

It starts at the 1:06:39 mark

Hi Leftos,

Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions. I have pre-ordered PC and love what I've seen so far from the product. Can't wait to play it. My questions are:

1. Are the in-game controls customizable (e.g. swap hop step and euro step)?

2. Has the "accidental 3/4 court heave after getting a loose ball mashing 'X' button" been removed?

3. I know this one is right up your alley... For a simulation game 2K14 lacked in statistics tracking. Has there been any improvement in season/career statistics viewing UI (e.g. splits, playoffs, per possession metrics)? How about shot charts?

4. Has there been any work done to better support Eyefinity display setups?

5. Has there been any improvement on rebounding, tap outs, or tip shots? I love rebounding in real life and often get frustrated playing 2K. I hate when I have great position and the ball takes an awkward bounce or double bounce and I slightly mistime my jump while the AI always justs stand there waiting for the perfect time to jump.
